I find it hilarious that Capcom was one of the first major gaming companies to focus on mobile gaming.
Yet after so many years, they literally have no successes at all and every mobile game they released has flopped and bombed badly. Meanwhile Square enix and Bamco have multiple mobile game releases that print money for them. Why did Capcom keep failing?

It's an on-rails mobile game starring Zero.

They just tried making regular games for mobile that were low-budget and filled with microtransactions as if that worked. Succeeding on mobile requires specific game design philosophies and striking (or nostalgic) art design. I can't actually think of a Capcom mobile game that goes full gacha, nor any that use sex appeal, which is pretty shocking if you think about it. Even Nintendo knew how to pander to the thirsty gacha crowd with FEH. You'd think the company that owns Chun-Li and Morrigan would get some hentai artists (or even their own fucking artists) to draw some sexy key art and have their devs make some rudimentary mobage RPG system.

The only Capcom mobile game of any real worth was DMC4 Refrain for being a competent full-3D action game on phones in the late 00s, even if a lot of complexity was lost. Even then, it has a Dante vs Nero fight where you play as Dante, which the actual DMC4 doesn't have.

Capcom IS, in fact "back". They're back in the sense that they're leaning on their own talent again. The Dark Ages of Capcom were defined by a deep desire from the executives to be achieve Western AAA numbers rather than just doing better relative to what they were doing at the time, and Inafune memed them into outsourcing and also memed them into greenlighting shit they didn't even want to greenlight (like Legends 3, which is why it died the moment Inafune left). In the past few years, Capcom has created the RE Engine, allowed for proper revivals of DMC and Megaman, and generally moved more and more of their main franchises in-house. They're not perfect, but there's a distinct uptick in quality from this move.

The only legitimate "improvement" that the company has made is tempering its expectations. MM11 was given a modest budget and sold 870k in 3 months, and Capcom in turn considers it a success. Funny enough that as soon as they let up on wanting "Call of Duty numbers", MH World sells 11+ Million and is the best-selling third-party game on PS4, followed up with RE2make selling 4+ Million and DMC5 breaking 2 Million in 2 weeks.

Not like one is really better than the other.

Got delayed from November til a few weeks from now. I believe they wanted to add even more content and polish the gameplay mechanics to perfection.

It's actually got alot of depth to character choice compared to puzzle fighter too actually, lots of unique mechanics for each character besides gem pattern layouts. Watching an interview and demonstration on a WNF stream got me quite interested in it.

The only collection they've put out in a while that had more than four games was the first Mega Man Legacy Collection. The second one, both X collections, and the old Zero collections all had four. Three Star Force games would probably be fine, especially considering they can inflate the apparent content with the alternate versions.

To be fair, everyone in X4 (barring Double and Sigma) was a retard in some capacity:

Black Zero was supposed to be an Ultimate Armour mode, but devs decided against it and the only lore it has is that it's Dr. Light's own upgrade for him.

In X5, it's a potential boost in power Dr. Light gives Zero instead of armor parts in the same capsule you can get the Ultimate Armor.
