I never played Sonic Rush but man did I play the hell out of Rush Adventure. I think that sonic game was actually pretty good. I didn’t mind the sailing minigames, I actually explored every island and every corner of the map and I remember the stages and some bosses being pretty fun. Also playing as Blaze is always fun.
