I was talking about the actual Zenos. Right now he's just slowly making his way back to Garlemald slaughtering everything in his path to become stronger.
I can't see him actually revealing who he is until he stands on the battlefield with the WoL once again, though some people will probably figure it out as they get killed. I can totally see him conquering the country to lead a full blown offensive on Eorzea for 6.0 now that he's found a worthy adversary.

If you remember, the Echo allows you to move your soul to different body. Real Zenos died and before his soul merged with the life stream transfered it into an Elezen that was nearby, suppressing the original soul and effectively continuing to live on in that body.
Ascian daddy Elidibus, not knowing about any of that, then took over Zeno's old dead body and is currently pretending to be him.

It really does confuse me, out of all of the jobs MCH has to be the weirdest theme'd one, it's supposed to use tools but all of it's actions are guns.

All of it oGCD's are gun based and pre heavensward the only tools it has are wildfire and the turrets, then SB comes along and they focus on the concept of heat which translates to more gun focus, but they also throw a flame thrower in there for some reason.

It's such a poorly executed hodgepodge of design that I just don't get what they were aiming for, it feels like it would have been easier to make unlimited BLU with a more cohesive design than MCH as it is right now.

It's funny because heat system suffered the same exact problem Gauss barrel had in its initial iteration.
A situational DPS gain but a DPS loss if utilized 247 aka. fucking useless shit. Then they caved in and made them both mandatory part of the rotation later.

The reason I like Zenos so much is because he works perfectly as a foil to the WoL. While the WoL might be a hero in the context of the setting, at the end of the day the main motivation for the WoL is the thrill of adventure, the thrill of the hunt. Regardless of whatever roleplay reason you may create for your character this remains the core motivation on a meta level because it represents the desire of the player. We want to see new things, fight stronger opponents, over and over again. Zenos was the same way, but he essentially started his journey as a level 70 adventurer. He had no competition until we arrived, then he received what he always wanted, which is why he was able to connect to only us. Zenos' best line is when he remarks that Lyse and everyone else would never be able to understand the common desire that he and the WoL share. Zenos is the character that's most like the WoL in the entire story, because he's the most like the player.

Instead of doing PotD or HoH, I just did my dailies DR and queued for dungeons while doing other stuff (like reading, shitposting, or watching something) until it would pop.
It was incredibly more enjoyable.

I got everything to 70 and the best feeling is knowing I never need do that shit ever again, first thing I'm gonna do in shadowbringers is get the new classes to 70 so I can officially call old content done besides the odd roulette.

Leveling dungeons around your level actually give a lot of exp, especially if you use the food buff + the squadron manual for 18% increase.
And you can increase that even more with the Aetheryte Earring which didn't exist when I did it for an additional 30%, making it a wooping 48% exp increase.
Honestly, with all those I'm pretty sure dungeons are more efficient now, especially if you can grab a friend that can heal or tank for you.
I could do it now even if you want I'm tired of waiting for fates to spawn

For healers and tanks, doing a dungeon on the level that it is unlocked is without a doubt faster, but the extended queue times for DPS negates this bonus. Rested EXP also makes dungeons worth while, until you're out of it.
I timed it while I was working on it over the past 2 weeks or so.

The only reason dungeons can be considered less efficient in any context is because they take a long time to solo queue. If you do something during those queues your efficiency will be maxed.

FATEs and sidequest don't make up for the difference spent on a 20 minute queue when you can get 1.5 runs of Palace done in that time.

Why not spend that time gathering stuff to make DoH leveling kit instead?
Being able to repair stuff anytime will be useful in ShB

DRG exception is historical, in 1.0 lancers used to be tankier than pugilists. NIN exception is purely cosmetic though and I expect them to roll all DEX gear together or give scouting to DNC.

I don't think it would take THAT much set up. All you really need to know is war between Ishgard and Dragons that's lasted 1000 years, everything else like Ysayle and Estinien can be explained as the story goes along. You could basically cut out the empire's involvement in the story if you wanted to.

The only set up I can think of would be the WoL and their friendship with Haurchefant which is how they got safe passage into Ishgard, but even that can be quickly explained.

DRG and LNC used to be offtanks in 1.0 and even in some 2.0 content. With cross class skills a DRG could fulfill the role of offtank in many scenarios long enough for the MT to lose any debuff timer and taunt it back.

An opener gets out your big skills and sets you up to go into the normal flow of combat at the same time. You want those long skills to go on cooldown early so you can hit them again later.

Yes Noctis can be healed. But RDM doesn't get cure until 52.

Ultimate fight in shadowbringers is facing off against Thordan and his Heavensward. Instead of it being all about Thordan, Nidhogg shows up to wreak his shit. The fight then focuses on Nidhogg, with the end result being the party blinding Nidhogg. Thordan comes back with half his knights. Now you have to fight both Nidhogg and Thordan.

Well in EX or higher, a low parse can "ruin everything" if other players aren't pulling double duty.

New Ultimate idea, Ultimate Dungeon Bonanza (UDB)
A gauntlet with a lot of super highly tuned dungeon bosses, every minute a new one will spawn and the mechanics will overlap, you have to kill the last one fast enough or eventually you will have 3+ bosses up at the same time and can't manage anymore
This would go on for 20 minutes or so

Yeah that's a given, but I don't think it will be Innocence a second time. It will be some kind of classic FF summon or boss like Ultima Weapon, Thordan, and Shinryu. There will probably be some kind of twist after we beat Innocence at level 67.

This is why everyone's saying Alisae is going to be a primal? I don't know, maybe. I can see it happening, but I wouldn't bet on it entirely. It'd be a nice change of pace for the story, that's for sure. The story definitely won't kill her off, that's for sure, but I can see them doing something similar as with Ysayle, except for the whole killing them off thing.

Most primals are just pure beings of aether, shaped into existence by belief.

Tsukiyomi and shiva aren't normal primals as they are people empowered with aether. Titania might be the same

These are the ones like Ifrit, Garuda, Titan, etc who are shaped purely out of aether and belief.
>mantled primals
Shiva, Thordan, and Tsukuyomi who are people that summon a primal by using their body as a sort of foundation.
>living primals
Phoenix and Ultima, normal beings that become so infused with belief that they actually become a primal rather than having one summoned onto them like the mantled primals.

It's not like it's some huge stretch. Titania is said by yoshi p to be different than normal primals, looks like Alisaie, and Alisaie is awol in all ShB promos aside from that artwork.

the primals that we've seen so far that are summoned with a living host are extremely humanoid. Tsukuyomi for example only has her giant moon thing and her ears and she's basically a half and half Yotsuyu. Thordan and his knights are just giant men in armor.

Ysayle and Shiva's faces are very similar as well, with the only real 'fantasy' looking parts of her being her hair and her ability to fly. The fact that Yotsuyu and Shiva both use weapons also supports this I feel, Yotsuyu having a fan and a gun, and Shiva using a staff, bow and sword/shield

Looking at Titania, she's a deadringer for Alisae with eyeshadow on. Skin tone is different, and her hair is longer, but thats nothing compare to Tsukuyomi's half and half and Shiva turning pale blue.

It being Alphi in drag would be hilarious in a way but I don't think Yoshi would approve that

Think I got it. Hydelayn doesn't want our characters to succeed in their quest to rebalance the first, so she's tricking our allies into protecting the Light. One way would be to make Titania a load bearing boss, enough power in her to make it all but required to slay her to progress towards that goal. As she knows our WoL is a pretty strong guy even without her protection, she's going for the emotional angle, the same way that Lahabrea tried to make us hesitant to attack him because he was possessing Thancred

If this holds up, we'll be fighting Thancred who thinks you're out to kill Minfillia. Hydelayn could also turn Krile on you by showing her visions of your exploits of spreading darkness. Don't think Yshtola and Urianger would fall for it.

Both SCH and SMN will no longer be full time pet jobs. Each fairy and summon will be on a cooldown and its duration will be limited by the job gauge in a way. They will be more impactful and do burst AoE or burst single target based on the one chosen for its effects.
