It feels too good to be true. Some years ago I was shitting on Capcom and saying they were done and this year alone they released two games that are better than anything released during the last two years.

It's amazing what kind of impact Inafune made. It's like they completely lost several years of time to his awful ideas. I'd never have believed that one person could ruin an entire company.

Remake 2 was undercooked/felt lazy in many ways. 7's scenario was mediocre past the first third of the game. Reasonably sure they're going to fuck up 3 at this point considering RE3 was the pinnacle of all the classically designed RE games. It wasn't even going to be it's own game until Remake 2 sold as well as it did, I'd bet money on it.

At least Inafune had an agenda and plan for the company even if it was shit.
Square Enix is shit because they are content with their output being mediocrity. They make plenty of money from those projects and they have no reason to put in effort because their western developer's games make up for anything that might perform sub-par.

Outbreak really was ahead of its time, many of the obnoxious aspects and drawbacks of the originals could be eliminated entirely thanks to technological advancements. Provided they kept the core gameplay designs and didn't try to turn try to turn it into a generic zombie horde shooter, I think it'd do quite well.

If it's being outsourced who's doing it? Capcom notoriously couldn't outsource for the longest time because their proprietary engine MT Framework only had Japanese documentation, and now they've got another proprietary engine this gen.

Fix fighting game department. Don't just rely on reboots for nostalgia. New Darkstalkers would be nice, but it'll be worthless if it's just as trash as SFV. Maybe even start a new IP?
