SMRPG is way better. Most Yea Forums jrpg fans will have a phase where they think earthbound is the greatest game of all time, then they realize it's nothing special.

smrpg isn't among the titles in the data mine but that's one of the ones i want the most since it's fucking hard to get most anywhere else. tempted on getting an snes classic but i haven't looked into pricing yet. fearing it's probably gauged up to a ridiculous amount now that they're out of print.
if we don't get some kind of smrpg remake or something on the switch, then square can at least be less stingy for once and give us the original. they have gone on record to say they want to port or otherwise remake older titles for the switch, though, so i think it's decently likely.

This has been known for months now, nothing has come of it so far. What exactly is the news here?

Only because it's less marketable, SNES, then N64, we won't get Gamecube or anything after that, hell not even DS so they'd likely go to GBA/GBC/GB after that.

That and 32 bit is still tough to emulate.
