The controllers are really terrible. I've used 4 different VR/WMR setups and the controllers on all of them are just really unintuitive and take a looooooong time to get used to. If they want to sell people on VR by using demo displays, they HAVE to fix these fucking controls so people pick them up and go, and not have any weird tracking or connectivity issues on top of the already weird feel and button layout.

The worst so far has been the Samsung Odyssey+. There is one button on the side that is just fucking impossible to not accidentally hit constantly. There's barely any resistance and it rests in a spot that you naturally 'grip' like you would a broom handle so it's constantly getting pushed and fucking things up.

The fact is you hear more about VR headsets than you do about actual game. Seriously. Most people can name more headset models than VR games. This will cause the entire VR scene to take a massive dump on itself any day now. We need software, not headsets. The tech needs to be advancing much more between headset releases when they're $500+. Just like consoles - 5-7 years between releases would be ideal. With fucking millions of different manufacturers making them, that gives you 20 new headsets a year, give or take.
