A) Game reviewers are well-trained losers that are subconsciously aware that they're leeches, so ideas like the labor theory of value and dehumanization of the worker are more than palatable to them.
B) Calling for regulation is a better signal than calling your audience idiots. The minnow matters more than the whale for retail games, and if they just showed some backbone and didn't support games that pulled shitty practices, then everything would be fine, but the average user will says that "it's worth it for [X]." You can't call them retards without alienating your audience, so calling for regulation shifts the blame off to someone else and allows them to join int he critique.

Communism wouldn't solve that. Socialism wouldn't either. As much as proponents of either say otherwise, the reality is that under any form of society or economy there will be people who run the show and the others who work to keep them there.

A drug sold in Canada that is identical to the US variety cannot be imported for sale here. It is the exact same drug, same chemicals, same manufacturer, identical down to the molecule.
