Should I buy only this game or the whole series?

Should I buy only this game or the whole series?

Also what is Scholar of the First Sin? a standalone expansion?

Attached: image.png (720x1080, 1.35M)

Buy them all.

Scholar of the First Sin is a """remaster""" of Dark Souls 2 that includes all the DLC. It's the version to play.

3 is the best one, if it has to be one buy 3

>linear hallways roll to win WHOA REMEMBER THIS simulator
>the best one
Yikes. It's literally the worst one.

Attached: 20180412202500_1.jpg (1920x1080, 481K)

start with the first one of course.

Ranked in my opinion:
Bloodborne's DLC>DS2's DLC>DS1=DS2>DS1's DLC>DS3
Order I think you should play them in if you're going to play them all:
3>Bloodborne>1>2

>buy

PVE:
1>2>bb>3>des
PVP:
2>1>3>>>>>>>>>>>>>bb>des

then I would guess that "Prepare To Die" is the first game "GOTY" edition equivalent, but funny enough the price doesn't show in steam, the only dark souls I edition I can buy is the remastered one that is even more expensive than dark souls III deluxed edition

>posts a linear hallways roll to win WHOA REMEMBER THIS simulator

Demon Souls
Dark Souls
Bloodborne

These are the essentials. II-III can be skipped. More of the same.

>Do I only buy the worse game of a franchise full of amazing games?

Kill yourself retard.

It's a fucking scam
Pirate it the online is dead and shit anyways

Demon's souls is garbage

Have you even played DaS2?

Attached: 20180411211640_1.jpg (1920x1080, 584K)

Yeah.

Attached: Capture.png (522x169, 139K)

Play all of them. All. Now shitpost all day about how the game you preferred is the best and user's favourite is shit just like his waifu.
Or don't play any and shit post anyway.
Oh and sekiro and DaS1 are good games and Yea Forums sucks cock.

>best bosses
>best levels
>best world structure
>best story
>best community
>best ideas in general
Disregarding all that because some rough edges is plebius filtreus maximus.

>le 3 is le worst gaem xD
when will this meme die. fuck off nostalgiafaggots

OP here, should I play the first game? I won't buy a shitty remastered

The original is fine as it is, remaster don't look that better anyway.
If you're going to play all three, do so on chronological order. I personally have a hard time going back to ds1, as many aspects have been improved since then.

Its great but flawed, lotta parts are some of my favorite of the 3.
But as a whole I think its middle of the pack, mostly because the second half is pretty hollow.

Worth playing will be harder to go back to after the 60fps sequals.

It is and nostalgiafaggotry is part of why

So you're braindead?

To accuse people of nostalgia is to basically admit you never understood the appeal of the series in the first place, hint it wasn't roll spam.

3 was the easiest souls and played off of 1 nostalgia faggotry

it's the hardest actually

called it
brainlets are so predictable

Do you have PC or a console?

Prepare to Die Edition was the original horrible PC port. It's now delisted and unavailable for purchase for a fucking reason. You don't want it.

Scholar of the First Sin is the GOTY for Dark Souls 2, all the DLC + x64 support + some minor changes in the base game. The old version is still available for purchase, but you don't want it, it will be more expensive and it runs worse.

DS3 should be straightforward. Get either the base game + season pass or Deluxe Edition, both are the same thing.

DaS2 is the best and cheapest on this sale
Unironically the most soulful
No level is better in all of soulsborne than No Man's Wharf
10/10 game, truly
Only paralleled by Sekiro

He can always pirate PTDE and mod it though
shoo shoo falseflagger

If you can beat the first game, you can beat them all.

PC

Prepare to Die required community patches to smooth out a lot of the rough edges of the shitty port job. I haven't played the remaster yet but maybe it's for the best that PTD was unlisted. In any event you might be able to buy a key on G2A or something if you're totally set on it.

I love wacky Co-op!!!!!

>you might be able to buy a key on G2A or something
It's now considered a collector's item so the remaining keys go for a lot of money.

Honestly, the remaster is pretty great. The only downside is the jew price. More expensive than fucking DS3 + season pass.

Then just pirate PTDE and mod it with dsfix. The remaster downgraded a lot of things and the online is dead anyway.

why the hell is bloodborne even mentioned? I don't recall it being apart of the darksouls series.

Besides, it's a PS exclusive so it can rot in hell.

>linear hallways
this is a DS3 thread

Attached: aldiaskeepmap.jpg (1600x533, 110K)

Retards just like lumping them all together with Sekiro and BB just because they're made by the same company.

>internet scalping

Demon's isn't part of Dark Souls either, people just lump them because of the gameplay

>this is a DS3 thread
Yeah, I know. That's why I said hallway simulator.

You might as well play all three. Dark Souls 3 is the best one though. Best combat, best level design, has the best bosses too. It's a great way to end the series.

Don't forget the endless swamps with no rust ring
enjoy spamming the dagger weapon art

Remaster player here, explain?

Prepare to Die is the real way to play Dark Souls on PC, but it was delisted after the remaster came out. Remaster adds minimal things and removes the mods that were popular with the original.

It's literally he same game but with the soul ripped out

DS2 is kind of ass. Only play it after everything else if you REALLY want more souls content. There's only like 2 good bosses in the base game but the DLC is pretty good.

For one it looks ugly as sin.

Done, I'm exited

Better bosses than DS1
