When did it become cool to hate them?

Because they're getting popular, did you forget the board you're on?

When they screwed over Sony and Nintendo games

After Ninja Turtles

It never did. It's just contrarianism.

Because they keep making shit instead of Rising 2.

when they started making nintendo exclusives

they released several shovelware titles (Legend of Korra, TMNT, Star Fox Zero), kind of killing their ratio of good vs bad games
and got kicked off/cancelled a few other games (Granblue Fantasy: Relink, and Scalebound

you can argue that none of those were really their fault but it stains their name

but its mostly because "WHAT IF PLATINUM MADE!" memes got really old

>they're getting popular
Not really.
As for hating them. I don't hate them, I just wish they'd stop rehashing bayo's combat system and make more unique games like W101.

They havent made good dmc style game in ages. Bayo became boring and we dont need 3rd game, astral chain is phone game ans i seen ohone games with better combat than it. Wtf is kamya doing? And ms buying them is the straw that broke the camel back.

When they fucked up scalebound development

>muh mental issues and stress, please microgaijin give more dorrars

hard to say:
>When they started developing exclusives for Nintendo
>when they made bad licensed games like korra and transformers
>when the DMC shills instantly discounted Bayonetta because "muh DMC is better, dmc good bayonetta bad"
>when they started to get popular and "mainstream" with neir

People are contrarians, they just like to hate bandwagon things that get big.

When they started phoning it in. But honestly, Bayonetta 1, Vanquish, and W101 are their only exceptional games. The rest range from ok to bad.

>transformers
Transformers was alright though.

Kys never happen

When people realized that they only work seriously when a game is Nintendo exclusive, and see the other platforms as places to release cheap cash-ins. That's why Scalebound was cancelled and they got fired from the Granblue action game.

I don't hate them, I just hate the decisions they make.

and the rest of their games are on dumb shit Nintendo platforms.

I always fucking hated Bayonetta.

THEY NEVER FIXED THEIR FUCKING GAME!
NIER AUTOMATA PLAYS LIKE SHIT!

This. Literally worse DmC with shit main character

Nier Automata and Transformers: Devastation were excellent.
Bayonetta 2 is also far superior to Bayonetta 1 in just about every single way.

What do you mean Granblue Fantasy Relink was cancelled?

They had a rough patch of licensed titles.
Korra, TMNT, Transformers (No this was shit no matter what you say), that cast a negative light on them, all while they were actually growing in popularity from the reputation of their previous games.
People knew what they were capable of, but there was a period where they weren't delivering.
Personally, they are still one of my favorite devs, and I'm glad they've gotten through their shit games, and I hope their quality doesn't dip like that again.

>dem skindents.

People only like it because Bayonetta is attractive.

I guess it's because they're not developing it anymore.

Astral Chain and Bayonetta 3 will be excellent.
Lost Babylon and Granblue re:link will be absolute dogshit

It wasn't. Cygames just kicked PG out and hired another developer.

Look at dmc5 and look at games like astral chain or nier automata. They are in for the easy cash, no integrity! I wish the faggot who made god hand and vanquish comes back making games again.

I like their stuff but their releases arent this huge highlight for me anymore.

They never reached capcom level, just like all the other devs who quit that company.

>Bayonetta 2 is also far superior to Bayonetta 1

So it's as good as cancelled.

No idea about Transformers but Automata was good thanks to Yoko Taro's game design. The combat itself was very mediocre.
It's not unsurprising given how Automata was multiplat.

Putting your games on nintendo shit is a bad idea.

>make meme games with shitty gameplay
>people put up with it because ninja theory all but killed dmc
>dmc comes back
>meme games no longer hold up
I wonder why too OP.

>Astral Chain and Bayonetta 3 will be excellent.
I agree
>Granblue re:link will be absolute dogshit
I think it'll be good.
I also like Granblue though so maybe I'm biased or overly optimistic.

Is there even any info on Babylon's Fall?

...

They sold their soul to Nintendo.

Except they've all been good.

Legend of Korra was fun though. Not a great game but still fun. Plus it's neat to have a steam title that's not available anymore.

DMC5 was the same as AC7: ano extremely mediocre game riding on the coattails of its PlayStation 2 games and being defended by a blind fanbase.

>Plus it's neat to have a steam title that's not available anymore.
Its shitty that its not available anymore for those who want it, but why is it no longer available anyway?

some sort of licensing issue, the same thing happened with some transformers games at the same time IIRC.
