I like everything about barnblitz except the last point. Red always get height advantage that's why they have longer respawn times. Hoodoo, goldrush, and frontier are far worse maps.

Frontier is in no way worse. It's like one of the most mid-tier maps in the Payload rotation, it has its ups and downs but isn't too biased to either side like Barnblitz is. Hoodoo and Goldrush are worse though, obviously.

Not true, plenty of maps either have a flat alternate route, or a steep alternate route to the height advantage that's far enough from RED's hold to make it usable, and even when it is true not to the extent of Barnblitz which is basically moving from one RED height advantage to another.
Look at Borneo and Snowycoast and (ironically) Upward for example, they give BLU the height advantage or even ground routes at multiple points during gameplay.
Even when RED's usual hold points do have a height advantage on Borneo, it normally amounts to a small ledge a few feet off the ground.

I recenlty played barnblitz as experienced this firsthand. There were three god-tier snipers on RED that singlehandedly cock blocked BLU until the round was over. They each had 7-8 dominations by the time the game ended.

Sniper sucks all the fun out of TF2 sometimes. He can be incredibly broken if the player is competent enough.

There are times when you're alongside it and it'll pin you against a wall, unable to move, and when you're riding it your character can get jerked around (especially when going up a slope).

Considering you're a returning player, your account might not be set up for trading, which means gay shit like email authentication and 10 day trade holds when you try to trade.

So it might end up being quicker if you craft 2 scrap+Huntsman to get the Crossbow, and complete 17 Engie achievements to get the Wrangler as a guaranteed achievement drop. Just some friendly advice.

The real deciding factor with Sniper is the map design. I consider myself a very middling Sniper player, on maps like Upward I'm fucking useless, but on any flat-ish map with few obstructions like 2fort or the one time Yea Forums ran a Fortwars server, I completely dominate.
If Sniper's sightlines are blocked he can't do anything, it's really that simple. The map balances him similarly to the way that the map balances Engineer and to a lesser extent Soldier/Demoman's mobility.

Lol, just shoot him before he gets too close. W+m1 pyros are the ultimate pleb filter. Only noobs and shitters complain about them.

If this is Skial and he typically wears spooky set with a tossle cap then I know who you're talking about.

The giant cart you can get stuck on or killed by is already a huge problem with the map. Sniper sightlines are much worse. Chokepoints are narrower with lower ceilings. Second is one of the hardest points to attack in the game with the cart blocking main and the flank being easily spammed out from above, a powerful sentry spot watching it, and a cliff next to it to deny ubers. Last is much harder to take because both spawns have height advantage and you can't easily sticky trap them and the cart has to go PAST them and on top of that attacker spawns all have one exit that is easily sticky trapped.

Depends where you setup. Upward second sure they don't get height advantage ON the point but if you forward hold as most comp teams do on the hill you will. I should have been more specific defenders always have height advantage because they get to choose where to defend.

Don't underestimate it. A small ledge will force soldiers to go for direct hits and pyros to go around.

You know there's a specific mechanic in this game where you shoot rockets at your feet in order to jump higher way out of a pyro's range, right?
You can also shoot at the pyro's feet in order to launch him in the air for an easy air-shot.

Ok, use the "item trial" service on the steam store and you can use that to get the wrangler until it actually random drops; and just do the crafting thing for crossbow when you get a huntsman drop

I've only seen THAT particular scout on Skial do it. I've seen plenty jump the grate and battlements. No idea if it's as widespread a technique as the other two.

Getting killed by the cart with the giant chewy mouth on the front is a feature, getting stuck on it doesn't happen often, my real issue with the cart design is how much of a pain it is to stand on it on that one hill (you know the one).

Like that massive sightline on last balcony to health/ammo balcony for example, if you want to avoid that sniper you can either take the wooden ramp rooms and then climb the stairs to flank around behind him, or you can go via the glass dropdown.
As opposed to the sightlines on Barnshitz 1/3 (eg: from the snowy hill) which have a full view of all approaches and no alternate routes.

Ceiling height is pretty equal along the cart route for both maps and Frontier definitely has bigger doorways all over the map and more room to move than Barnblitz.

Yeah but the highest point isn't always the optimal place to defend from... unless you're playing Barnblitz of course on every point except its last point.

The thing is that the Borneo ledge is about 3 feet away from a shallow incline ramp leading up to the top of it. And it's a narrow ledge with a wall behind, meaning Soldiers can still benefit from splash off the wall. So it's not really a distinct height advantage.

classes in tf2 don't move fast at all, play more fps games.

Fun. If you can find a community server that runs normal custom maps like I did you'll still have a great time, and even if you can't Casual is tolerable as long as you're not the sort of person who takes Casual seriously.
If you want a challenge there's also community competitive lobbies who have a good spread of skilled players.

the force of nature is a must when you have a pyro at your knees, not only does it give you move flexible mobility as triple jumps and high jumps, it basically pushes said pyro away and he can fuck off while taking a pure 100 hitpoints to the face

in these dangerous times where you have exceedingly low hitpoints the only rational way to end the continues string of damage is by extinguishing the fires thanks to a known liquid, thank god mad milk helps, and also pretty practical to get back some hitpoints in situational moments if ur good with the gun

And do what? The only class that can really do anything here is demo and there's a side exit you can use to kill him. Any other class has to hug the door and make themselves an easy target which isn't easy to get up to in the first place or take potshots from below which are unlikely to kill anyone.

There is no sweeter feeling in the world than burning a spy to ashes and using the Homewrecker to save the sentry he sapped, just to undo the only thing he succeeded at in his entire pathetic life.

Ambassador Kunai Dead Ringer Spies are the the most annoying spies I have ever seen.

If you have problems getting to sleep, I recommend getting on your back and slowing your breathing down.
I started doing this last week and I went from taking an hour or more to sleep too somewhere around 5-10 minutes.
Try and slow your breathing so that an inhale-exhale cycle takes ~20 seconds instead of the 4 second it takes on average.
And keep it going, only focus on your breathing, get in a comfortable position, and you'll find yourself sleeping faster than you thought was possible.

take a look at the first point. there's a second floor but there's also fuck all room to move around on.
it's also cluttered with so much shit so the first point feels smaller as a result. this shit makes explosive jumping almost useless, and the tiny ass doorways/chokepoint encourages explosive spam.

It is though. You do realize half of this game is non-player bots right? And that people literally use TF2 to test cheats for games because it's such a good template to cheat and not get caught? If you've ever wondered why that f2p heavy seems to only be moving around with WASD and only uses mouse when enemies are near it's because he's literally a bot being tested by someone. People are finally catching on though and kicking suspiciously good spies on top of snipers. You can get away with it very easily on something like scout though because if you just double jump around while hitting all your shots people will just think you're a god because you're actually jumping and dodging stuff while 2-3 shotting other classes in every single skirmish.
