Persona 2: Eternal Punishment

>Persona 2: Eternal Punishment
>Persona 3: FES
>Persona 4: Golden
>Persona 5: The Royal

What the fuck is it with that naming sense? Why can't japs stick to one thing instead of making up those cringy english subnames for games?

Eternal Punishment is fine since it's a follow up to Innocent Sin.

It helps differentiate between the original game and the version with new content.

Then why not name them all after colors? Or holidays? Or whatever the fuck instead of just picking something at random.

because English itself is cringy af

Because the Japanese are SO DAMN WACKY! XD

They are named after holidays, you uncultured swine. You do know that this is video game series from Japan and they have their own culture there.

>Persona 4: Golden
*The Golden

Oh, okay. What do they celebrate on the "eternal punishment" day? Or the royal day?

Eternal Punishment is not an enhanced version it’s a sequel you tard.

Why is it necessary for all the enhanced versions of the games to follow the same theme? Seems like you're nitpicking over nothing.

This is a pretty solid bait. My fedora flies off to you, good sir!

Innocent Sin and Eternal Punishment are two different games, retard. EP isn't a re-release of IS.

It's actually Persona 4 The Golden in Japan.
The Royal will just be "Persona 5 Royal" in the west.

You forgot a sequel. Persona 4: The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold. (PQ2's subtitle is at least sensible.)

>20th anniversary logo represents all 6 mainline persona games
>none of the new spin offs show the 1 and 2 casts ever

It sucks being a fan of the whole series and never seeing any of the original characters why didn’t they buy them in arena or even dancing or even gave them cameo in p5

What does that have to do with literally anything? Read the fucking OP again and tell me where it says "re-release" you fucking retarded subhuman ESL piece of garbage.

In a perfect world, they'd be in Scramble. It's dumb that it's P5 Scramble instead of Persona Scramble at all. Musous are always celebrations of a whole series instead of a single thing. They'll probably have the P3 and P4 MCs as quick, easy DLC that people WILL buy, but they shouldn't have to be DLC to begin with.

No, he's right. You and OP sound like the ESLs here. OP's post was comparing apples and oranges anyway. Eternal Punishment is just a cool subname, a lot of games have seemingly random subnames so that's not a big deal. Then 3 through 5's are rereleased, and the rereleases in particular are what DO have a pattern. Which, as already stated by others, are holidays.

>Which, as already stated by others, are holidays.
No they aren't. FES stands for festival, not holidays. Golden is the only one that could potentially stand for golden week. There is no royal holiday in japan.

FES is Festival, Golden is Golden Week, and Royal is Royal Day of Taisen. All rereleases are named after holidays.
Innocent Sin and Eternal Punishment are named that way because it's the theme of the games, and it would be awkward naming a game "Persona 2 Part 1" and "Persona 2 Part 2"

Eternal Punishment is a sequel you pillock

>There is no royal holiday in japan.
Emperor's birthday is literally a national holiday in Japan.
Although I'm not the guy claiming Persona enhanced editions are named after holidays.

>festival is a holiday
Damn, what does it feel like to be mentally challenged?

>revelations: persona
LMFAO

dumb japs even put the series name last WTF

>There is no royal holiday in japan.
they worship the emperor. even an uncultured retard can make the connection.

Ik hou van Haru

In Japan they literally have a holiday called FESTIVAL.

Because "definitive edition" sounds boring af

Ik ook user

>Persona 2: Eternal Punishment
