So even if you're weak you can join other's fights to spam debuffs and be credit to team. Has lots of old Final Fantasy devs in the dev team, including Uematsu.

You dont really need to do that, even less reason to do so soon with priconne event getting added to side stories, you get so many free units from side stories that even if you never roll gacha you can make full decent teams for all elements.
The free SSRs you get from some of the side stories are all good too, the priconne ones specially when that gets added there

So far, I think the thing is to just explore while being mindful of your TP since everything in Arcanum goes off that from your steps to your turns in battle.

I think the ultimate goal is to get stuff for your grid if you don't already have it.

Not really. Cane is shit but it's an okay fillers. You can get them up to SL10 and use them as skill fodders later. Whether you want to uncap them or not is up to you.
AES also has pretty fucking shitty drop rate, and you might still get non omega version too.
I've been playing for almost a year and this is all I have. Most of them were traded with pendants too.

Keep nuking everything. Kill monster, gain loot/points. Normal difficulty has best drop rates for m1 weapons, hard adds summon weapons (like cortana and ecke sachs) into the mix, extreme has lowest weapon drop rates but is easily the best for arcarum summon materials.
Also the Sephira weapons that are unique to Arcarum aren't anything special, but can be used as filler until you get better stuff. Good way to kickstart your secondary grids.

As for firesticks, they're bad but not useless. Don't prioritise them, but use any you happen to get over sr's / non-magna ssr's until you get something better.

The cast is huge and made of something like 70 characters, there's a trio of idiot that spend all the time having fantasies about getting laid (one of them decide to make one of the primal beast his waifu, a giant tree girl that's like the size of a building) there's a guy obsessed with ramen voiced by norio wakamoto, there's a midget dwarf girl who suffer from Manlet syndrome so she uses to stand on wooden box during certain special moves to look higher, there's Romeo and Juliet but they have JoJo like stands, there's a trio of big boobed gunslinger girl who are sisters and one of them is easily startled and has a tendency to make thing explode

Basically it has amazing lore and production value which makes it feel like a PSX Classic, unfortunately the game is a utter chore to play, you spend most of the time fighting the same monster over and over and over and the grinding is beyond absurd, most of it is also timegated which mean every day you have to login and play

Just grab enough copies to uncap all the weapons and you should be fine.

they arent the best earth SSRs but alright for a new player, razias substitute helps your team to survive with their low HP and nukes are strong for beginners, melleau has 100% TA on skill which is huge for a beginner too
Earth has tons of strong SRs to use too like Herja, birdman, yaia and jamil so if you have any of those use them

Just unlock Chaos ruler then and use that until you get better mainhands for other classes, its pretty much better dark fencer in everyway and also you can safely spend EMP on it skills and stat boosts

Chaos Ruler is pretty much a direct upgrade to Dark Fencer.
You can cheese using Parazonium with any class that lets you MH daggers. Warlock in particular is busted with it.
Mist is a subskill so you can use it with any Row 4 class anyways.

You either get a copy of the replica from coop drops or through the shop and then use steel bricks to uncap it cause it's easier than grinding or buying three more copies.

More than feh

You only need to ele change 1 CCW to unlock all of Row 4, but EX2 needs its respective CCW to unlock it, so by making an EX2 weapon you're essentially killing two birds with one stone.
Kaneshige is a good CCW, as CCWs in general are hit or miss, and Kengo is a pretty good class, although it needs some setup. If you want a more "reliable" EX2 class Glory is ok as well, but Ridil isn't really worth the mats so most people tend to just ele change Aschalon to unlock the class and leave it at that.

Any suggestions for who to run? I'm still a bit inexperienced.

Currently using Tsubasa/Ilsa/Therese for Fire with xeno axe MH, Altair/Grea/Yuel for Water (no good MHs here yet but I'm working towards Kengo for tasty 9x attacks anyway), Heles/Jeanne/Yurius for Wind with atma sword MH, Paizuri Sisters/Lucio/Vira for Light with Certificus MH and Orchid/D.Jeanne/S.Zoi for Dark with Parazonium MH but I'm open to suggestions.
