They fixed that by adding in this thing called a glancing blow. Basically, if you hit somebody with an attack that you dragged too much it just sorta dinks them and does wayy less damage and leaves you vulnerable to an attack.

I think it depends more on the question if you are able to learn and adapt than previous experience with similar titles

Early days Chivalry made me feel the same as TF2 in its prime. I have played Age of Chivalry, the source mod which predates medival warfare by the same devs. It had no progression whatsoever and it was a good thing because everybody could experiment with all weapons from the very first minute of play.

The funny thing is, that Torn Banner tried to address many of the issues with chiv by collaborating with SpikeTV to develop Deadliest Warrior which I feel is the more superior game. You can't get away with all that funky shit that you can get away with in original chiv which is why I suppose it failed unfortunately because they were marketing towards a very niche hardcore audience that exploited those maneuvers in original chiv.

I'll admit though, Spartans in deadliest warrior were annoying as shit as well as ninjas holy fuck if they facehugged you it was an absolute nightmare to deal with.
