The only one of these I've played is Death Mark. The art is very good and it's quite creepy if you play with headphones, but it's short and pretty much plays like an old adventure game. There is combat, sort of, but it's just having to figure out what obscure combination of items in your inventory the game wants you to use to not die for three rounds. I'd recommend it only if you're like me and like Japanese ghost stories, older style games and reading.

There is almost no voice acting for the text dialogue, but the sound design in Death Mark is honestly the best of any horror game I've played this year. Really a game you want to play with headphones, because it does some very clever things with sound to scare you.

I’m a fan of Suda’s games but I’ve never really dipped my toes in his more wordy games. How weird does it get? For reference, some story bits of Killer is Dead just lost me.

Killer is Dead is lost on you because it's not a game actually directed by Suda. Grasshopper likes to cop his style to varying degrees of success, but the difference is night and day. Actual Suda written/directed games usually have a strong plot, good world building, and a blatant Kill The Past theme. Killer is Dead has some of this, but it's only skin deep. If you try to really dig into anything you realize that there's not actually anything else there beyond the style, but with Killer7 for example, as weird as it is, everything falls into place and is more or less present within the game itself.

So with that said, his wordy stuff is probably less over the top in tone, but just as batshit crazy in context. TSC specifically is about 25 districts that are fought over by two political parties using serial killers. Crime may or may not be an actual virus you can contract if you're not careful. Ghosts also might be real too or something. If you've enjoyed Suda's work at all, you'll definitely like his OG stuff. It's just a stylistically impressive, but with more nuance than Grasshopper's games during the period of time Suda took a backseat. (Lolipop Chainsaw, NM2, Shadows of the Damned).

Oh and it's recommended you play Flower, Sun, and Rain before The 25th Ward. It's a weird sort of game that intentionally fucks with the player and tests their patience, as the main character is also pushed to his limit with trivial bullshit. That said, I hear it's worth the endeavor. Hopefully that helps.

Is FSR getting remastered at all though? If not I’ll just start with Killer 7 and the DS version of FSR.
Also can you explain what Kill the Past is all about I’ve only recently heard it after the switch NMH game came out

Lemme put it this way: You ever read a book where the main character suddenly has some BACKSTORY bite him the in ass, and then has to deal with that in order to move forward both as a person and with the plot? Suda takes this to 11, often times where you'll not even fully understand the character's backstory, and with the Kill being very literal. It's a basic literary plot beat, but Suda has a way of making it an integral theme to his main games without it getting old. His Kill the Past series refers to The Silver Case, 25th Ward, and Flower, Sun, and Rain specifically, but maybe the Moonlight Saga games as well. I'm not 100% sure on that. Killer7 and NMH both the fit the mold though, but they're not connected as far as the plot is concerned because of the conflicting world building, despite some overlap.

Killer7 is a fantastic starting point imo, and I did hear he wanted to remaster FSR. It's just completely up in the air if or when that will actually happen.
