Unironically - and it's a waste getting into it these days thanks to rampant faggotry and the death of when it was unique and interesting - Half-Life 2 roleplay.
Fucking christ, I remember people getting genuinely fucking bonkers angry at me because I'd withhold them and question them for an hour. People would just give up because I was being patient - of course, there's a level of roleplay you must respect, and I always respect fun or interesting characters, but there's never anything other than when staff would step in that'd stop me from pressing into a shitty, half-baked character that knows nothing happens if they just fucking don't say literally anything ever. It was fun watching and learning from others how to press people in-character and out of character, and it was an interesting metagame, assuming you didn't go for a character that fails at it. It was an absurdly fun time to grill a motherfucker for 30 minutes and gat him in the end.
damn shame that nebulous is the only 'big' server and it's just a fucking sea-cow of incompetence and greed, with staff members consistently coming out of the fucking woodwork every few months and talking mad shit about how shit sucks. There's another server out there if you're genuinely interested in trying it, but beware - there's dozens of others that are worse. The only thing I remember about it is that the developer has a genuine love for it and cares for both the game, fun, and the community, and consistently puts good effort in.
