the 2b2t meta is too broken to have any progression. Exploring and discovering old stuff is fun. But to actually have a base and get endgame gear you need to spend real time hours or days on a nether highway walking in straight lines and loops to throw off the chunk-hackers. Then grind resources until you have enchanted everything. But after all that you get killed and griefed by some faggot with a backdoor, 10 alt accounts, and an ender chest stuffed with shulkers full of god-apples and duped armor. The end is inaccessible half the time, and spawn is flooded with lava casts and hundreds of withers. Also Hause is a fucking jew who can't fix the horrible lag.

Minecraft always sounds great in theory, but once i get into it i find that i dont want to invest the time required to build something substantial. Also boot up older builds of the game i swear the world generation used to be cooler.

server is kind of laggy at the moment but come play anyway

ill maybe try it out later, if anything seeing what other autists build and interacting together makes the game actually fun, otherwise if i play it by myself i just end up feeling like im in a world all alone.

1.14 has major performance and memory leak issues, the new rendering engine is completely fucked

I honestly think it would be better to just play an older build, honestly its one of the best things about the game.

we're trying to focus on being up to date and relatively vanilla - if I was running it modded I would 100% be using an older version

I can run Tomb Raider, Odyssey, Witcher 3, etc at 60FPS with no lag. Meanwhile Minecraft always dips into 40 FPS. Something about this game is just really fucked up.

I dont understand why Terraria works so well and smooth while Minecraft doesn't.
