if that's the case then upload something else cause Platinum was most definitely fucking up for a long time. Nier:A, in Kamiya's own words, literally saved the studio from bankruptcy and going out of bussiness. Bayo1 and MGR are their only good games, everything else is arguably bad

Platinum is becoming some weird mutant developer, they are absorbing the DNA of some of the most interesting Japanese series + directors and churning out pretty interesting games as a result.

Ni No Kuni 1
>story and characters are insultingly lazy and basic
>combat is totally horrible
>very little to explore or find off the beaten path
>at least it has a pretty much entirely expected twist ending
>carried almost entirely by its art design and music

>story starts out with an interesting premise
>then it does nothing with that and becomes a story about some faggot kid trying to get world peace in a world where nobody is actually at war
>everyone is immediately forgiven for the bad shit they did, even the rat dude who was never even corrupted by the bad guy to begin with
>ends with literally the exact same twist as the first game even though this game hadn't brought up the concept of doppelgangers at all before that while it was an integral part of the first game's story
>you can explore places but there's generally nothing there because you haven't accepted the shitty fetch quest associated with it
>you have to build up your kingdom to progress in the story and you do this by doing countless fetch quests to recruit new citizens and alt+tabing while your currency fills.

They literally get Joe Hisaishi and Ghibli character designers to work on a JRPG and they literally just waste them on making pure trash.

What I didn't get is why Ni No Kuni1 got a sequel after it got so heavily criticized. The game got marketed heavily with STUDIO GHIBLI to hell and back. You would think Level 5 would at least try to attach a decent game to it.
