Man MKX has not aged well, the designs are garbage and everyone cannot stop fucking moving their upper body.

I think from a technical view, the graphics are better, more modern. Sure. But the art style is more gritty and dark in mkx which synergizes better with mk in general.
Mk11 has some cool looking designs but in general its too coloury(?). And its true, the males are all very revealing while the woman are not, but that's not a problem for me desu. But scarlet and kitana being the only good looking ones is a bit underwhelming. I do like the combat system way more than in mkx.

The Kustomization is a huge swing and a miss for many reasons, one being the pandering you mentioned another would be to completley disable the controversy by offering optional alts or having it like Injustice 2 where you could build a costume, they could have also had basically everything from all previous MK's either in the base game, as updates or DLC packs. Most of the reason a lot of the new NRS stuff looks bad is because their mocap is second rate at best. They're trying to use those strategies they created back in the 90's on modern mocap tech and it results in the ridiculous looking shit like the Injustice animations.

I like that MK9 was traditional, but it had the genericness of a lot of characters stand out. The females for example all had the same exact body type and their costumes were pretty similar. I think MK11 takes them out of genericness without doing stupid shit with the design.
