Because it's Nintendo's biggest game other than Smash and this board is almost exclusively Nintendo shit.

Reality is it sold like shit (Spiderman sold more in 3 months than it sold in 1.5 years) and RDR2/Witcher 3 are widely regarded as the best game of their generation and no irrelevant anons on Yea Forums will change that fact

Because after a year I’m replaying it in master mode and after 120 hours on normal I’m still finding shit. Somehow I completely missed taking pics of Dino bones and lynel safari. Basically going the opposite directions of my normal difficulty heroes path.

I mean it's good, and I'd also like it as a stand-alone game. It's the fact it's very... un-Zelda that holds it back for me. I hope BOTW is built on and subsequent Zeldas aren't just cut and paste like traditional Ubisoft Tower Exploration Adventures. A more focused BOTW with a smaller world and proper dungeons (where every dungeon has an interior and exterior like Hyrule Castle) and better / more varied combat would be fucking amazing.

I actually love SS's world design but I get why people hate it since it's all segmented and cobbled together with the sky. TFH level-based approach was interesting, but each stage being bite-sized made sense due to the nature of the online play. Level structure works to a degree, it just needs to feel a bit more organic than TFH or FS do it, like FSA.

My only gripe with botw is the washed out color filter (which is easily fixable in cemu but still...).
Why did they even add it. It doesn't even help with the framerate as it's not a real fog that hides distant geometry.
