I think it’s funny how people complain about how many FE sword characters there are, but basically all of them are fun to play as and against (except maybe Ike). When I’m up against a Lucina or Roy I know they’re gonna be right up my ass the whole time, but it never feels too unfair and the games are generally fun. Meanwhile playing against Shulk, Young Link and FUCKING CLOUD is fucking torture for me

I think that's just you. They were the characters i hated since i started playing. It's retarded how much they're rewarded even when playing horribly. It's not until the highest GPS ranks that they have to start using more than two braincells. They just suck the fun out of everything that isn't high level play.

I think a lot of it comes from the fact that I don’t see Shulks often, and when I do they’re really good players. I’m also not used to parrying correctly yet, which definitely isn’t helping. It’s probably not much help, but what annoys me the most is the speed, the ridiculous range and aerial coverage, and the fact that he can switch the monado so quickly gives him a lot of versatility. I’m also a Bowser main, which is probably a good matchup for Shulk considering my huge hitbox and lack of range.

You don't require a galaxy brain to use Monado arts and use the insane range he has. Shulk players may seem good, but that's because on a surface level the character is just very easy to use.

What? There is nothing fun about fighting a swordie who's faster and has more range than you, shit like Lucina spamming fair and side b, Roy spamming nair and side b, and Chrom spamming ftilt and Side B is fucking horrible.

The issue with Pit is that most of his attacks are multihitting moves that hit enemies away you can't really set up anything interesting so he's really boring to play.
Sucks because I love the character and KI:U but his gameplay is so shit.

not really. their gimmick is suppose to be resource management, but theres no risk whatsoever to draining that resource. the rest of their kit being as amazing as it is would be perfectly balanced if up-b consumed ink.

Now since Joker got out he is my new Main but i keep playing Toon Link,
Toon Link Mains are Bros that don't care if he is the worse version of the characters, they play him because they like him and that deserves respect imo

I don't get it either. I feel like I'm fucking awful at half the cast, yet I have every single character in Elite Smash, and it didn't take that much effort.

Sometimes you just go on tilt, sometimes you'll get fucked by a really laggy connection, sometimes both. It happens.

GSP gains, and the system in general, are absolutely fucked. Whenever you go online with a character, your GSP does not reset until you back out and stop rematching. This means that you can just scum out a few wins by beating down sub 1 mil shitters and get Elite Smash effortlessly then never play the character again.

Honestly, they should've just kept and improved the For Honor/For Fun system but it really feels like Sakurai has this fucking hateboner for competitive and he wants to force people to play with items on "as intended" at least SOME of the time.

>no interest in playing or gitting gud with that particular character
>lower gsp used to be harder and have more skilled players (~3 mil used to be elite for example but now its 4.5 mil)
my Pichu and Daisy are at like 90,000 because of this
