On a polish level, yes, but it ignores the soul of MP 1 and 2 of being self aware arcadey shooters with black humor instead of just dark.
The aim-down-sights and cover of MP3 made it so it was better to hold angles and clear methodically to beat the stages, meanwhile the other two demanded constant movement to stay alive.

The skips being so delayed are a lie. The loading can end much, much sooner as the engine's fairly optimized, and modders found out the hard way that you can actually technically skip a lot sooner but the game enforces an arbitrary wait period just so you don't skip everything. Likely a means to ensure stability on consoles that struggled to get the game even consistently running at 30FPS.

MP3 is almost beat for beat Man On Fire with a bit of Elite Squad sprinkled in. When I found out how much of MP3's plot is stolen it really undermined what is
otherwise a decent story for me.
The flashbacks to New York were the best part of the game anyway. I wanted so much more of that mob story.
