It's basically adventure game with 4th wall breaking puzzles as main feature. Expect some interactions with player and digging into files and docs to find a solution.

Oneshot is one of the few games I've played recently where I really wish I could play through it again, only other one that comes ti mind is Rainworld, which also happens to star a catlike character, strangely. Maybe I just really like cats.
Most of the gameplay consists of exploring the world and looking for items to solve puzzles or fix problems, it's topdown and gridbased like an RPG Maker game, which it is a remake of so it's expected.
The game is very worth playing, it's only ~8 hours if you do the full game but none of the time feels wasted. For $10 I think its worth the price, it goes on sale for ~$6 regularly too so you can wait for that if you like.

Fun fact: The remake is also an RPG Maker game, it just uses an open source runtime to better handle the meta elements instead of using a hacked RPG Maker runtime like the original.
