the first persona game was heavily localized when it first released in the US, which changed the race of several characters. the biggest one being masao who was changed to black and named mark. everyone else in the game is changed to white if i remember correctly.

Even if he was a character for all of 10 minutes. I still felt something well up. Looking back after beating the game, Nanjo crying is very clearly a gigantic rarity, and somehow his dialogue gave me the impression before I even played the rest of the game/got a larger grasp on nanjo's personality.
