It's pretty amazing. Every time a new character comes out, 90% of characters have their usage rate depressed while people try out the new character, but Ken, Ryu, and Akuma all keep their 10% share. I don't agree that most people don't like characters like makoto. I think it is just the trend now to hate on aggressive characters and cry robbery if you lose with even the slightest health advantage.

She is the second most versatile character in the game right after akuma. So what she has?

3 frames jabs
Extremly far reaching hard kicks
Her setups are fast, doesnt require ex bar and even pros sweat blood in tournaments just to properly guess and defend through them
Her 2nd vskill is 2 bars only, able to take out half of your HP in an instant
She has like 4 BnB combos, all of them are good and interchangable, so in proper hand she is like terminator
She has two types of jumps
She can extend her jump by parachute special
Her dash is one of the best in the game
She has command dash as well, able to "teleport" through enemy
Her "fireballs" are fastest in the game, even if you jump over the knife she can still punish you, even if you block it she can just throw another one

And ofc she is the only sexy character in the game who isnt slut. Her only drawback is that she is hard to use. But that goes for akuma as well.
