It is a different kind of bad, but overall worse cause you get stuff so slowly. Injustice 2 was annoying but you at least consistently got gear. Here is it grind for ages to open one box and hope you get a skin for the character you like, then hope it is the one you want and then it is the right colour. But then you just get 1 of 90 icons used for character variations. Which as it turns out is really just 30 icons and 3 different colours.

Injustice 2 stats work online, MK11 doesn't. The grind in MK11 is completely optional unless all you care about is singleplayer.
