Hell of a velocity equation there.
Gnomes breeding slaves through orc rape.
i wanted this game to be good
what didn't you like about it?
Unfinished game
I liked it more than Fallout 1&2 desu.
Great game with choices that matter.
Don't listen to people who tell you to pick a specific build. Magic is overpowered but you can beat the game with any character as long as they are good at something. My first time I was a gun wielding technologist.
Also to get out of the opening town your character needs to be good at something. It can be speaking, fighting, recruiting, sneaking etc. but if your characater is useless he will get killed and has no business trying to save the world anyway.
More?
Depends what you're looking for and willing to tolerate.
If you're willing to tolerate the roughness of the combat system, the mechanics that are against you, and some bugs and crashes even with the unofficial patch, you're in for a treat.
You will like this if you like cRPGs specially those made by the guys at Troika.

Clunkiness
Kino villain
fuck off shills
underated and keked
a game with a awful combat system, meh world and character development. Okay writing.
Best soundtrack
>meh world
the setting is the best part of the game
Download the unofficial patch and download the mod that allows for increased resolution. The zoomed out view makes it much better to play.
It takes place in the world of arcanum
Even for its time the maps and dungeons you visit in the game were meh to crap
>meh world
>meh to crap
what kind of faggot are you
>Do quest for M'in Gorad with evil helmet
>Meet Nasrudin
>Realize I can't romance Raven with the path I took
>NVM, at least I get to see 2 elves probably fight like that one user said he did
>Only Nasrudin shows up
What's up with that shit? Where'd K'an Hua go?
The magic system is so fucking cool in this game
Spamming the harm spell to get past visual novel tier gameplay and writing.
For the love of god change the battle system to turn based
kys you retarded zoomer, good games are beyond your subhuman kind to understand
>pick bandit background for the gun
>shoot everything dead at the beginning and already level 6 before reaching the city where i must meet someone to show the ring
>failed charisma dialog with the bodyguard
>no idea what to do except grinding monsters in the wild with just the gun
last thing i checked 8 month ago was visiting that city in the south which was a magic capital that got stomped by technology or some shit,
i dig the game setting and gameplay but the lack of direction made me stop playing it for other games, actually having harder time finding my way than fallout 1/2
>didn't sneak in through the sewers
>didn't find the butler outfit to just walk right in
Kek, brainlet.
Awfully boring game, the soundtrack alone will make you kill yourself.
>harm
Harm is baby mode.
You want OP? Try backstab.
Sometimes I feel that the people who say that combat is the worst are only people who've played Harm builds.
There are some builds that are quite interesting
>Phantasm melee builds
>backstab builds
>dominate will builds
>pure melee/tech melee
>hybrid tech/magic builds, like learning shield of protection, etc.
HEY HEY PEOPLE
How do you even lose direction?
The quest logs literally tell you where to go.
fuck off shill
Came in to post this
>pure melee/tech melee
aka pyrotechnic axes for everyone
the soundtrack is amazing..
the soundtrack taken in a vacuum is okay
what makes it interesting is that the music truly fits the theme and environment, which significantly enhances the experience
it's one of the few vidya soundtracks I will listen to on its own
mfw all these retards, lacking an attention-span, whining about this great game.
He was right but could be deceived with enough semantic bullshit.
>He was right
>Literally every dead that you talk to screams of pain and suffering
Well they're not exactly alive, are they? Dark necromancy is about hurting people. Why would anyone be surprised that's the result of it's use.
literally everyone who talked about being dead experienced peace in death
overengineered overbalanced game, boring uninspired steamshit setting, you-have-to-save-the-world drivel, greatest musicever composed for a game but a bit depressing
meh/10
10/10
as contrasted to undeath, so it doesn't mean shit.
Also this is assuming that peaceful feefees are the purpose of existence itself.
I've never heard of more buzzwords in a single sentence
install the Terra Arcanum unofficial patch for bug fixes and restored content
>kid talks to me
>asks for the ring
>Sure here you go
>Virgil tells me im an idiot
Uninstalled, fuck
>falling for gnomish tricks
NEVER TRUST A GNOME
This guy isn't redpilled on the eternal gnome.
its okay, kind of janky tho
He was right, though. The only argument against him is that you don't agree with his methods of achieving his goal, but his goal was right and he even proved it. He even had an alibi on the player characters team.
You got duped by a gnome despite Virgil specifically telling you not to trust anybody? You god damned retard.
Gnomes are meant to be Jews right? And the half-orcs/half-ogres are the American Golem, right?
>He was right
No, - there's no justification for such an assumption.
>half-ogres are the American Golem, right?
ding ding ding we have a winner!
anyone have that pic with all the nazi propaganda allusions? this setting was interesting as fuck and they should make a sequel like the new vampire game
They were making a sequel, it was supposed to be first person and run on Source
I don't get it. The combat isn't even half as bad as people claim it to be. It's way, way, way better than planescape's and I think it's better than VtMB's too. Haven't played a magic dude yet though. Just a tech inventor using guns and throwing.
>anyone have that pic with all the nazi propaganda allusions?
Sounds fun, I bet someone on /pol/ has it
turn based is OK but the UI could be way better. even for its time it is extremely substandard
found it
>1488x1111
Turn based combat felt incredibly clunky and downright unfinished imo. Which was strange since Fallout 1/2 turn based combat felt absolutely fine.
>when you go to the gnome island
Gnome genocide best day of my life
You didn't think there was anything suspicious about someone claiming to know the owner of the ring standing around the entrance to a small hick town? The IFS Zephyr wasn't even supposed to land anywhere near that place.
>no
Yes, he actually proved himself right and Virgil even agreed with him. You just don't want to admit that the antagonist wasn't int he wrong. The fact that he even wasted him time trying to convince the player character instead of just murdering him outright proves that he isn't a "muh evil" malevolent asshole.
Also is dumb because it ignores the fact that Kerghan was talking about after death and not the purpose of life itself. He didn't give a shit about that.
Absolutely based, brb gotta replay
>half-ogre island
His point is that the purpose of existence is unlife. ie peaceful feefees. There's no data to suggest this, except the musings of a mentally compromised edgy-boi.
>Replay the game
>Remember half-ogre island
>kill every gnome in game
sure you can use any build, but you're going to have a bad time in a certain area if you use a melee build
throwing weapons are pretty good if you dont want to use magic
>when the villain convinces you to join him
His point isn't that the purpose of life in "unlife" you fucking moron, he saw how shitty life was and how much suffering he and everyone else had to go through with in regards to it. After he died he wandered through other worlds until he reached what was essentially an eternal "Dream sea" and it was peaceful. There was no suffering. He wanted to tell the natural order to go fuck itself and force everyone in Arcanum to go there. He gave no shits about the true meaning of life and, like you keep ignoring, virgil dies in the story and he want to this dream sea and he even tells the player character that Kerghan wasn't lying.
game i finished before my current one
you're in for an oldschool rpg in a decent setting, with insanely dogshit combat and meh writing.
the few characters that were voiced had pretty good vo tho.
if you want to attack items or doors, unequip your weapons first.
also keep 2 of every stupid rock and gem in your inventory for later because they will globally despawn and potentially fuck you out of the all-father's blessing if you don't.
protip: if you don't give a shit about which class you play just go necromantic black mage + whatever the fuck you want.
i always play the hurrdurr edgy caster type, and for whatever reason the tree is beyond broken in this game.
>literally used the lvl 1 spell and nothing else combat related ever for the entirety of the game on hard
One of the worst UIs of any game.
Real time combat + harm spell turns the game into a gook click desu.
The spell which brings people's ghosts back is a lot of fun for bants
pretty much.
basically i just harmed through half the of any map and went alt tab to reg.
talking to peoples souls was pretty dope, but so few with anything to say, so it was kinda wasted.
The summoning tree is very underrated, it's like playing D2 necro, you can also use the summons to attack things without worring about weapons breaking.
Axes can chop up up doors and containers without taking durability damage.
because of that place I put orc hitler in charge of the city
no regrets
What's wrong with it?
wrong
he's right tho
what's the point of a steampunk design if you just visit tombs filled with skeltals and dwarf mines filled with weapon damaging golems for half the game.
>dwarf mines filled with weapon damaging golems for half the game
you know there's only one dwarf mine like that you fucking retard.
A pretty cool RPG with not so cool combat
bmc and wheel clan.
It isn't a standart steampunk setting, it's about the transition from a medieval fantasy setting to a steampunk one.
you can completely skip Wheel Clan
>Play a low beauty female half orc
>The Wellington club owner still wants head
