Personally I really don't like it so far. Mainly the enemy hurt boxes and attack telegraphs are really atrocious in some places. Might even say it's worse than DS2. But I'll probably keep playing it a little longer since I'm so thirsty for a new soulsborne. I also hate the repetitive fake Bob Dylan song that plays everytime you upgrade your character.

To consolecucks, anything paid for is free because they got it from their mom

The Surge is fucking awful.

Second boss is terrible to fight, not because the boss is hard, he’s easy, just that the lock mechanic is frustratingly garbage. Also I would have preferred character creation instead of the MC we got

>This thing is available for download this month on PS4 if you subscribe to their monthly online service for the price $8 a month. Talk about it.
Yeah, that sure rolls off the tongue better.

>filtered
and you won't be the last.

>Second boss is terrible to fight, not because the boss is hard, he’s easy, just that the lock mechanic is frustratingly garbage
I already felt this way about the first boss. I hope it's not a pattern throughout the whole game. Also is every boss in this game going to be some sort of machine? It feels like the equivalent of DS2 mostly having suits of armor for bosses.

You know normally I would feel bad about getting filtered by a game like this but so far this one has had zero intrique or anything interesting going on that would make me want to keep playing to see where it's going.

>Also is every boss in this game going to be some sort of machine?

Why are you surprised by this?

western devs cant into attack-feedback/effects

good news is you have already fought 50% of the bosses now.

>health upgrade is a powerslot taking upgrade
How fucking retarded. Why can't ut be a nornal level up like Dark Souls? If you don't have health upgrade you can get combo'd and killed instantlt by trash, especially the fucks with dual rigs.

Most good sci-fi games usually do the whole flesh/nature vs metal/technology vs hybrid/man 3-way free-for-all setup which leads to more gameplay and enemy variety.

I'm still in utter disbelief that they're making a Surge 2.
Fuck at least I have Nioh 2 to look forward to I guess.

Absolute trash game

>this thing comes with PS Plus
Wow that was hard, shiteater

Did they do anything wrong Yea Forums? Population control doesn't seem so bad if you let the shitholes of Africa India and China breed uncontrolled sucking up precious oxygen while producing nothing of value.

This game actually makes me appreciate things about From's games that I hadn't even thought about. Like how when you get hit you actually get some sound feeback to let you know you were hit. And how it's mixed to be louder than the rest of the game audio so you can actually hear it in the heat of battle. I just find myself eyeing at the health bar more often in this game when it's unclear if an enemy connected or not. Also the whole difficulty curve and pacing is just better.

You're not even wrong, playing The Surge is kinda like eating shit.

I don't throw the meme word often but the Surge literally felt soulless as fuck.

It's the best soulborne not done by from

That's Salt and Sanctuary mate.

I've only played it at launch, finished it and liked it, but there are flaws. The balance is all over the place, heavy equipment is straight up worse since enemies still deal 70% of your health in a hit. You are kind of forced to build around using your energy to heal since enemies deal so much damage per hit that your normal heals aren't enough. I like that you get a multiplier to your scrap if you don't go back to your heal room. It had two good bosses, others were average to bad. If it's for free, then I recommend it. It's not worth fourty bucks or whatever it is, but it's worth for free / in a sale.

>hurtbox
Really

I got it for free when there was a pricing error giving the surge with the first DLC for 0.00.
Got the plat as well. The first DLC was fun as fuck, but the main game felt to short yet dragged on. Fuck those leaping dog robots.
7/10 - I got used, to the silence

I beat the game a few days ago, you want a good review about it?

The guy might be obnoxious, unfunny and annoying but I can assure you he's right about everything he says.

The Surge was bad but there were good concepts
This garbage on the other hand is disgusting
>What if we make all encounters feel like PvP
>What if all enemies had several movesets
>What if enemies had a lot of Hp and and heal themselves
>What if we make the combat sluggish, clunky and slow
What if they made a GOOD game?

>What if they made a GOOD game?

Never. The devs themselves said that they're still planning to make a lot more """soulslikes"""

Last boss is some kind of amorphous thing made by whatever made everything fucked up I guess. Another boss is also a really tanky dude

Ugh I wonder what new games wil-
>Lords of the Fallen 2
>The Surge 2
Literally HOW
I mean jesus christ how did they get sequels? At least this is a good chance to unjust both franchises but only if they can pull it off correctly.
Which I'm guessing they won't but hey you can only hope

>>What if we make all encounters feel like PvP
>>What if all enemies had several movesets
this sounds like a good thing

For a sci-fi setting it's so indescribably bland.

It's a good game, seething souls autists the only one who hate it. Sure it got bad RNG mechanics at release, they fixed that.

death rate is 95% if they launched it though.
but apparently it is the canon, surge 2 takes place in actual post nano apoc going by gameplay trailer

>bland
name 3 games that look and have same setting as surge

The only location I liked was the theme park everything else did suck

git gud and level up, pleb. Also be on the lookout for the better RIG. I think it's somewhere in production B but I don't know if you can reach before or after biolabs. It's been a year since I played it.

I had more fun playing Ashen and that game was complete trite.
