I love how Monster Hunter XX has crossplay with switch, online mode never dies.

A Link Between Worlds for sure, DKC Returns if you haven't played it, Mario 3D Land, OOT and MM 3D, the two main Kirby games, maybe Smash but the existence of Ultimate makes it nearly unnecessary

MK7 is still pretty fun, so I would recommend it. I prefer Sonic and All Stars Racing Transformed, but the 3DS port of it was very rough around the edges

Tropical Freeze is fucking great, easily up there with Rayman Legends as one of my favorite platformers and it has a God tier OST

Tropical Freeze is just as mediocre as every other DKC game. Stop being fooled by audio and visual presentation and you'll see just how uninspired and bland the games are.

My 3DS has served me well, Unfortunately the battery doesn't last as long as it used too. It only lasts 1 day and a bit in sleep mode.

Only just recently hacked mine and honestly it's getting way more use than it ever has.
Pirating games is cool but emulators are pretty good too, playijg GBA games on actual hardware is god tier, even if the resolution outside of pixel-perfect mode is a bit fucky

Nabbed the HHD bundle on launch, just because it was one of the few standard N3DS' released stateside.
It's been some of the best money I've ever spent on a console--loads of games, a DS flash cart, portable emulation for everything from NES to GBA.

Bought a 3DS after the price drop, but still managed to get the consolation games for people purchasing it before that.
Got my money's worth out of it. Primarily through Mario Kart 7, Super Mario 3D Land, Link Between Worlds and Senran Kagura.

It was unfortunate the thing was region-locked.
And then there also was that mess with Bravely Default. Still remember being pissed off at the game ending that early, and then they fucked up the second one beyond salvation. In a way that reminded me of Golden Sun, but Bravely Default was even worse.
Fuck anyone involved with that mess.

3DS is great but DS had better games. Thank God for backwards compatibility. The inserted cartridge is Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow.
My first unit which was hacked was the ALBW special edition XL broke after a few years.
I borrowed it to a friend, he dropped it, a tiny crack formed on the hinge which then continued to grow with time and use, the hinge eventualy fell off and the screen cable tore.
My current unit is a stock white N2DSXL but the numb didn't work out of the box so I never got to play Xenoblade.
3DS XL+Circle Pad Pro had the best form factor and worked better for games like Monster Hunter, Resident Evil and Snake Eater 3D from my experience.
I've got TWEWY coming in my mail in two weeks and I'm currently trying to find the other DS Castlevania games.
My biggest gripe with the system bar none is that it didn't have Flipnote Hatena and that they discontinued SwapNote.

My man, if you want to play Ace Attorney buy Drastic on the Google Play Store and download the DS roms.
I've played Ace Attorney on many things but I found playing on my phone to be the comfiest experience out of all of them.
The two screen layout fits perfectly and it feels like a real phone version would play the same.
You can even get all the 3DS games for cheaper with better fps, resolution and all the dlc free.

Here are all my physical games.
Emulating DS games basically gives you a second screen you can navigate with just your thumb.
I find the Android perks of other games to be worth it giving up a second screen.

It's way less complicated than before, you can load ds roms on the system but you have to play through a homebrew app (I think) and you can just find .cia files of gba games and play them no problem.

Get a "new" model is you want ds games though.

3D World is the worst home console Mario, which may say more about mainline Mario games as a whole than about 3D World, but it's really not a great game.

Yes. I also am buying Persona Q2 3DS. I was a later 3DS buyer, I went through at least 3 GBAs who had bad L and R buttons and my history with the PSP was always bad fucking dust undernath the screen. I swore off handhelds for so long. Anyway, FE Awakening was a system seller for me (though we're talking years into the 3DS' lifecycle). I only wish we could remove that Miiverse UI from the main menu since they killed the service.

Level Design was made for only Single Player in mind for 3D Land. 3D World's, being around Four Player, were big , clunky, and empty.

I found my Cobalt/Black DS lite last night. It's 11 years old, but doesn't even have a scratch on it. The hinge sounds really weak though, but the battery life is still solid. Even has the GBA slot cover. No idea how i lost it but man am i lucky

It's still the most uncomfortable handheld I've ever had the displeasure of using, the 3D is crap and the reason it runs at a shitty 240p and a lot of it's games are either crap or are inferior versions of previous iterations. I can't think of any games that really took advantage of the touch screen either despite it being the second Nintendo handheld to have one so you'd think devs would have figured out how to use it by then.

Make sure you've got game patching for luma enabled, then make a folder under /luma/titles/TITLE ID HERE/ and put a file called "locale.txt" with contents "JPN JP" or there's a very annoying bug where the game refuses to see your SD card and locks you out of some features

I'm one of the few fans of the 3d in 3DS, and I'll be disappointed if that doesn't carry over to the next console.

DQ8 is pretty good, though lacks the awesome orchestrated OST of the PS2 version. Fire Emblem Echoes is solid if a little dated. Bowser's Inside Story isn't really necessary if you already own the original since it's fully playable on 3DS anyway

Easiest thing is to get an FTP server app like ftbrony on her 3ds and get FileZilla on PC. Setup the server on the 3ds, put ip on FileZilla and you can remote access the sd card. It kinda sucks, I miss freeshop and ciangel

Unironically looks great. Bonus points if you can switch out the back plate. Part of the reason I'm still using N3ds and didn't upgrade to the xl. I just love having my own back plate.

Currently in chapter 1 grinding like hikikomori.
I recently got the game because Yea Forums told me so.
So far I’m not disappointed it turn out to be a good game so far, it plays like the FFV I wish I had growing up. The job system is just right!

I had a similar problem (left thumbstick) on my Vita. I shot compressed air around the stick and that fixed it. I held the stick up and sprayed the bottom, held left and sprayed right, and so on in a continuous motion. Use 99% isopropyl alcohol on a q-tip to clean as much of the dirt buildup you might have, too. Explain "fucky" L button.

i maxed all jobs and then the story where time reset i just stopped playing, and then i found out it does that more then once......

Some of the complaints I had with BD were fixed in BS. For example, you can have 10 favorite setups instead of having to constantly switch out jobs, equipment, spells and abilities like the first game.

It does, but by that time, you should be so OP that you can breeze through it. Not to mention, there are a lot of different things you can steal from bosses/enemies from different chapters that you won't be able to get until much later.

I'm catching up on my backlog too quickly bros. I only have two more Etrians left. Might finally buy Majora's mask later though. Even after smash came out on the swittch, I still play my 3ds more. My switch is still a splatoon machine until something else comes out.
