I don't think I can bring myself to like this game.
I don't think I can bring myself to like this game
And that's totally fine. This game isn't for everyone, you either love it or hate it. But how far are you in?
Like 7 hours or so.
Play a different game.
And what do you hate about it so far?
The combat, the catgirl and the fat fucking hamster, the side quests and the gacha mechanic to obtain new girls.
For me it got good when you get to Mor ard. Although if you just don't like the gameplay it can't be helped.
>Although if you just don't like the gameplay it can't be helped.
This.
The story is really good in this game, but if you don't like the combat then there is no reason to force yourself to put 80+ hours into it.
The combat gets much better. The weebshit does not.
Make sure not to get too stuck using one single strategy because the game pulls the rug out from under you at some points and totally blocks out certain mechanics. It's worth it, but it has its horrible rough edges, which some people will defend (which is incomprehensible to me, chapter 7 is objectively terrible).
The combat will definitely get better with time, when you unlock more options.
For the characters, you will get better party members in the story, who I felt like are way more likeable than the ones you have now.
I agree, there are very very few actually good sidequests, but the quests for every blade were usually pretty good.
There are some blades you can get outside of the gacha system, that are actually really good, but yeah it kind of sucks.
Xc1 looked fun
It kind of does. The story seriouses the fuck up after Rosa for the most part.
nice blog faggot
now fuck off
Thanks user, I'll make sure to bump the thread aswell after you went through all that trouble to sage it.
Oh, You.
>he bought shitch
>he bought xenotrash 2
Kys
Oh hi, Eric. Haven't seen you for the last... 12 minutes?
>he replied to a thread just to hate a console he doesn't own
>he replied to a thread just to hate a game he hasn't played
KYSN
I more or less just got this game today and something in combat system currently confusing me so maybe this thread could answer that.
What does heat do? I dont really notice any effect for the blade combo whatever they call it move until I get it to level III or VI where it does a big attack. Also how can I tell what level of blade combo whatever thing party members are at so I can do the combo things like Steam Explosion?
If you aren't at least neutral towards the game now then don't bother continuing. It does get better but if you didn't like what was there by chapter 3 then it never actually gets good.
I tried to like the gme,too but I just could not get into liking Rex, Pyrha and Mythra as people, and I played up til the part Rex is fighting that dude while those two talk about how they love him and don't want him to get hurt. by that point it felt like all the main girls were just there to suck off Rex.
What is with this game and how much it causes people to seethe over it?
>and I played up til the part Rex is fighting that dude
Really useful
>saying you don't like something is seething
That's the most fanboyish thing I've ever read. Why are YOU seething that someone doesn't share your opinion? Are you going to answer with "cope" and reveal that you are nothing more than your average shitposter?
Generally specials don't do much other than damage until the 3rd part of a blade combo, and the effect is based on the final element in the combo, fire for example seals the opponent's ability to self-destruct.
When your party member can use their special it appears on either the left or right, their face in a circle. You should see a smaller white dot circling their face, this shows what level special they have; one dot for lvl1, two dots for lvl2 and three dots for lvl3. Your blade combo "route" will appear in the top right when you use a special when not in a combo, you then must follow a "route" using the next level of special, a lvl1, then lvl2, then lvl3 - although you can use lvl2 and lvl3 as the first part in the chain - and the element it shows along the line. It will also say what ability the third special will seal. Using different element specials to begin the combo allows for different "routes".
what a coincidence, i got that far into the first xenoblade before i dropped it.
