Reminder that the last good TW game was Shogun 2, and before that Medieval 2. CA has lost all talent and ambition, even Warhammer TW is ONLY enjoyable because of the vast unit variety given by the setting (which isn't even that great, you'll notice rather soon that a lot of stuff is just the same big monster with a different model), as far as the rest of the mechanics go it's extremely dumbed down and bland. Almost surely most of the original talent is no longer around, what you're left with is a bunch of low skill retards trying to maintain a progressively more unmaintainable engine that they don't have the skills to properly patch up, let alone improve on. Their "programmers" are likely the same that pushed for women in TW recently, which they are very good at unlike actual work such as improving the pathfinding. CA is a sinking ship, the only reason they are still afloat is due to the lack of direct competition, but that is also the reason they allowed themselves to start sinking in the first place.

I was excited for a Total War 3 kingdoms when I very first heard about it. Then learned they are doing the fantasy thing with hero generals and my excitement is out the window. Trying too combine a feature that fits extremely well in their other game (Warhammer) with historical setting is just lazy game design, instead of coming up with unique and fitting features.

Most of them are translated, the problem is that the expansions for nearly every single game are not. Romance 13 is the sole exception I believe, you can pick up both on Steam, during a sale it's usually $40-50 last I checked for both.

The recommendations aside from 13 are usually 7/8 or 10, keeping in mind a lot of people play the games that let you play as a random officer or wanderer rather than just a ruler. They all have their unique quirks and flaws. Some people recommend 11 as the best game for ruler play but I find it to be overbearing on the kind of logistics autism that defines Koei grand strategy games, having to manually move caravans to keep most of your cities from starving, going bankrupt or not having any weapons gets tiring.

It's a response to complaints in Warhammer where LLs got cool fighting animations but you never see them because most LLs are better with mounts and by the time you fight another LL, theres no reason to fight on foot. I wish people would stop asking for more soldiers per unit, this definitely breaks the game because of AI pathfinding has always been bad in TW games and higher soldier counts within a unit exacerbates the issue.

They need to finally allow for 40 unit armies but less soldiers per unit, I've also noticed that with higher soldier counts cavalry become worse because I'll always get cavalry units lagging behind when I try to cycle charge.

Britannia is fine, it's just really boring. The selections for factions all have already a sizeable territory which makes town management a pain, there is an incentive to turtling and they got rid of the really dope faction selection screen of Atilla. In my opinion the faction selection screen is perhaps the most well thought out component of Atilla along with that mongolian throat singing in the background.
