Why does every single cod do this? Especially shotguns were always completely fucked up, they either had more or less damage than what the stats shopwed and ranges were fucked up too. Mw2 had the most "bugs"

You were either lucky it rarely happened so you never noticed, or you were host most of the time so it wasn't an issue. It can get gradually worse over the course of a match whenever there are any notable packet drops.
Back in COD4 and COD2, when they first had implemented an Anti-Lag system, the client's viewmodel of their weapon was not exactly the same as the server saw it. Just as your scope bobs around, most of the rifles and pistols in COD4 would "Idle".

MW2's version of the anti-lag was more refined but that idle desync was the last thing they hadn't yet fixed. It happened to be fixed in MW3, which is why many of its weapons had idle again.
That's why the only weapons in MW2 that had idle were sniper rifles (compensated by holding breath and partially overcome by the nature of quickscoping putting the aimpoint dead center on the screen for a fraction of a second just as you sighted up), pistols (much lower idle that was reduced by crouching/prone) and the AK47 (which only idled with most attachments applied to it).
The exact nature of the desynchronization was the same as the way the anti-lag handled client rollback - the path the weapon travels during its idle, the server would see it a fraction of a second behind where you see it. If you were to wait for the sight to travel over a dude and fired immediately, the server would instead fire the hitscan where your sight was a moment prior.

Those were just fluff to fill up a corner of the screen and give an idea of how they operate, however bogus they may be. Unlike other games that actually print the real data of the weapon, COD's were just made up generic bars. It was probably for the best to fool the majority of the playerbase, otherwise some of the CODs like Black Ops 1 would be really puzzling if those bars showed that every assault rifle and every SMG were literally identical to one another.

At least they weren't as bad as the completely bogus description for Juggernaut being "more health" despite it actually reducing damage taken.

It really is baffling. I too saw the majority of people will simply refuse to put down their Stopping Power shotgun/akimbo glock secondaries to shoot down the 7-range killstreaks in just a few seconds for free points. Instead they'll cry and whine about them all day as they keep respawning and giving some dude enough for a nuke.

The killstreaks in MW2 were glass cannons, a single player with a Stinger could keep the skies completely clear without even trying unless the map was Terminal and the guy got a Chopper Gunner with the enemy team stuck in that store (I was almost always carrying one in my main loadout with a Cold-Blooded Scavenger M4A1).
MW2's killstreaks were, when you pit them against the other things in the game meant to combat them, unironically the most well-balanced in the series despite everything in the game being so bombastic. But those fucking inept crybabies got killstreaks in all of the games afterwards turned into practically worthless distractions (as well as most other things, COD after MW2 was hamstrung, not even going into future tech made up for it).

In MW2, the Uzi was underrated and overlooked. Statistically, it was arguably the best overall SMG of the five and worked great at any range.
Everybody would flock to the UMP because on the surface it looks like that well-rounded basic bitch gun that made it useful at mid to long range and could sort of compete up close, but the Uzi had a number of advantages that made it excellent at all ranges.

It's rate of fire was slightly higher than the P90 (P90 was basically a slower, less accurate Uzi, but had more ammo).
In regards to damage output, only the MP5 and Vector at point blank would beat the Uzi in killing speed, and those two had way more erratic recoil, so they would lose after a short distance as they would go off target and their damage went to shit.
The Uzi was the most accurate SMG in regards to having the lowest recoil, so you could fire in long bursts and stay on target against dudes a very good distance away.
The Uzi was a true jack of all trades weapon, but few ever tapped into its potential because public opinion had the mediocre UMP overshadow it.

ACR was unarguably the best one if you played hardcore modes. Even in non-hardcore modes it still was up there and it was my go-to primary weapon.

CoD4 Remastered (for free on PS+) tripped my nostalgia in so many ways. I'd played PC shooters with """toxic""" language before but something was totally different about playing CoD4 on Xbox Live. everyone called everyone else nigger and faggot constantly, relentlessly, in a way that is largely indistinguishable from modern-day Yea Forums. it was the fucking shit. CoD4 Remastered is great but after about a dozen hours of the multiplayer I found myself missing MW2 more. the unironic dudeweed Fight Against Grenade Spam™ Bush-era blatantly propagandistic vibes were extremely comfy, and I would love to revisit them sometime... which is impossible to recreate 100% because even in CoD4 Remastered, nobody uses voice chat in the same, """"'"toxic""""" way anymore, though I did hear a few bong rips on open mic. because of this, I wouldn't pay more than $15 AT THE ABSOLUTE MAXIMUM for MW2 Remastered, getting CoD4 Remastered "for free" is the only reason I gave it a go.

why do guns in fps games no longer feel as good as they did in mw2? it seems fps games now have guns that all feel the same or sound the same and there's nothing that feels different about them

It was just right. If you don't run around in the open you can still sprint away from the shots once you get hit, but you can't jump around for 10 seconds straight infront of a guy hoping you survive out of pure luck like in blacklight retribution or bo4 to lesser extent.
Mw3 was horrible though. If you get shot you're dead, you can't do anything.

The UMP was powerful but it wasn't as strong as endless nubetoobs or dual wield shotguns.
P90 was pretty popular, probably second most common after UMP. Was pretty good with akimbo.

this game would be fixed with the following solutions

>nerf dual glocks
>get rid of XP gain for TDM so people play the other game mode and populate them instead of only being able to play tdm because everyone is grinding
>no grenade launcher pickups on scavenger

Thing is it was way way more powerful than any other normal tier gun, making every retard use it, turning the game from mw2 with 4 shot kills to mw3 with spray around the corner to win type of game.
It's cool to play weird game modes sometimes like only snipers but I don't want to be forced to do that every single time I try to play tdm.
