i died to the second form of (what i assume is) the last boss of 5, but only because right before it, my entire party's mp got drained to 0 by a random monster's cast of hocus pocus, still did okay though, i almost got away with it by using the sands of time the sage's stone and my one elixir and leaf

There was nothing new anyway, you basically had to to do the same shit all over again when you travel back in time, also you had to grind for hours if you want to beat the last "real" boss. No thank you.
The game looked amazing though.

I burned out hard after finishing 6. That vocation system can suck my dick, changing it from being tied to experience to scaling with the number of battles won was a fucking awful move. I grinded for about 4 days near that well with the dude that fully restores your hp and mana right before the final boss zone and I still didn't make it to Hero on my non-MC characters.

For farming the slimes, have Rab equip Agility boosting items and be ready to use Dirge of Dundrasil as soon as you see those metal slimes. For getting people pepped up you can buy pep pops for 200,000 each once you rebuild Cobblestone. Money is easy to come by post game. The game is long it's true I took break after the second act.

Oh yeah, the sountrack is absolute dogshit. Something about the composer being a bitch and forcing midi shit in there apparently? The switch version will have the fixed soundtrack which isn't amazing or anything, but is certainly less of an ear-bleeding-inducing shitshow than the original game's soundtrack.
It'll also have JP voices so that's cool too.
