Should I grab Sekiro for $68.12 or Monster Hunter: World for $35.43?
It's Golden Week and I'm thinking about getting a game to play.

As long as you have a tolerance for grinding MH is a much better game and offers a lot more playtime as well. Otherwise go with Sekiro.
>$68
If they're gonna put such a huge pricetag on a video game then you might as well pirate it. I did, and it's been great.
any way to install mods on a pirated version ?
Bump for a couple more opinions.
I don't really pirate games anymore. Doubly so when they are "great"
>almost 70 bucks for Sekiro
lmao
It's even higher on Steam here.
You should buy and play hollow knight instead, it's cheaper And also better than both of those games :)
I was going to ask something similar, MHW is in sale on my PSstore for 25$, is it worth it? I'm torn between that and DBZ Xenoverse 1/2...
That's my screenshot in the OP, you memelord.
>paying for single player offline games
I'm here so you can play single player offline games for free, user. You're welcome!
I played both, and I liked Sekiro a lot more. It depends on your tastes obviously. But if you enjoyed previous FROM games, go with Sekiro.
>I'm here so you can play single player offline games for free, user. You're welcome!
No you ain't unless you are Codex cracking it or a seeder of my torrent
You're just a dumb paypig
You can't play singleplayer offline games if no one is making them, user.
Go hang out in akiba instead. You're bound to find better things to spend time and money with during golden week.
Neither. Both games are shit.
Sekino
I missed the PoP on my playthrough of the game, never did it. But when people ask me if I did, I just say yes
Akiba is a time sink. I've seen the figurines, I won't be buying overpriced cartoons, I ain't going to make no plamo.
Game centres are kinda fun, but despite all my experience in Guilty Gear XX: Reload, I'm yet to switch to the arcade stick, meaning I suck ass tremendously.
UFO catchers are a scam and even when they're not, I have no place for new shit anyway.
Maid cafes are stupid, and only Maidreamin is good anyway and I've been there.
Suggest me a non shit one.
For how good controls in this game are, I've been asking myself "how the fuck am I supposed to do that?" far too many times during that section.
If you like the combat system, MHW is a great game for 35$.
have you played a monster hunter game before?
if you haven't then sekiro is the safer choice
I have my critiques of the game, but it's good
just don't be this guy
clips.twitch.tv
i gameshared the game with my friend and sent him a long paragraph explaining the basics so that he had a better start, before things click the game can feel frustrating but then after you beat it you'll likely never die even to the final boss, but there is a hard mode and multiple endings with hard bosses, but overall the game lacks replayability due to no builds and no multiplayer
It's easy enough though, just equip the bee charm and take your time, equip long nail and steady body if you have trouble with nail pogo.
Grow up
Oh, I've beaten it long ago, user.
Yes, just not through steam. Nexus Mods have some.
And I didn't, but still I can go and tell you I did and give you advices :^)
thats kinda lame
user, I literally just want to hear like 2-5 more opinions so I would have some thought before making the decision.
Please.
Pls.
Plox.
Pozhaluista.
i already gave mine have you played a monster hunter game? if you like them, MHW is likely the better deal, but if not, sekiro is safer
why don't you pirate as a demo before deciding
then again they both have somewhat weak starts, especially MHW holy fuck
>have you played a monster hunter game?
No, I didn't. I was thinking about trying it out, though.
How much of souls-like Sekiro is? I like Souls, but I'm kinda burned out, so I'm looking at Sekiro in a "Souls but not Souls" kinda way.
Both good games, I played 300+ hrs MHW when it came out and finished Sekiro last week.
If you feel like you would enjoy MHW, then go for it first and hopefully by the time you finish MHW and endgame hunts etc... Sekiro would drop down in price slightly.
Otherwise just pirate, that's what I did for Sekiro anyway.
Wait for a sale on Sekiro
MHW has no content, Sekiro is probably longer
why 68? It's $60.
>not pirating both for free
Lol
S E K I N O
Not US.
日本人か?
it has many similarities but I'll try to help you decide, Souls is a series most people are highly opinionated on but I'll try to avoid that
>in Souls you could roll and punish almost everything, especially bosses where parrying was many times impossible and blocking is usually worse than rolling. in sekiro you will be punished if you don't use all your defensive options
>not an RPG, more of an action game
>one character, one weapon, no build variety. the skill tree is fairly linear and most skills are either very good or useless, some situational or luxury
>prosthetic tools give some variety but most of them are situational, and they cost spirit emblems, similar to bullets in BB
>neat lore and details to find, I'd say it's less difficult to understand than souls or bb lore
>some great environments
>combat can have a great feel of flow to it (especially if you remain aggressive, the game can have a great feel of clashing swords, going back and forth)
>4 endings, with unique bosses, takes multiple playthroughs to defeat every boss
>a couple risk and reward "hard mode" options, you can also enable them together
overall, sekiro is a great experience but lacks the replayability of the Souls series, and it has it's fair share of flaws
in terms of which is a good deal it's easily MHW but monster hunter is a series that you either like or hate usually, if you like it get MHW and wait for a sale on sekiro
tl;dr sekiro is the least soulslike but still retains many elements, it can be frustrating at first, but after the combat clicks it can be enjoyable. monster hunter is either love or hate so it's a risk, but MHW is the better deal
I hope I've given good advice, the safest choice would be pirating sekiro to see if you enjoy it
this is not true
If you have friends willing to play, get MHW. If you don't, it's still fun but the endgame is a mindless grind. If you want a cool singleplayer game, Sekiro.
No, I'm gaijin, but I live and work here.
Thank you, user, I'll think about it.
just pirate Sekiro and buy MHW, don't use torrent though
t.same as you
Not OP, but I was going to buy Sekiro but saw this thread, in which many anons are recommending the game with mediocre reception MHW over Sekiro. Should I buy Sekiro or should I buy MHW instead? My favourite game is Bloodborne if that helps.
What did you like the most about Bloodborne? If you liked the fast-paced combat and challenge, then get Sekiro if you want to see that turned up to 11. If you loved the builds, grinding and the chalice dungeons, then get MHW if you want to see that turned up to 100.
I loved the worldbuilding the most. I've never played another game with quite the world Bloodborne created. Dark Souls was close, but not quite Bloodborne-tier. The gameplay and build variety were great as well.
Sekiro is alright in that respect. MHW's story and world is absolutely awful.
Thanks. I'll continue my original plan to buy Sekiro then.
I'd suggest going to the temples in enoshima or going to hakone with buddies etc. But you seem set on just gaming the holiday away.
Go with MHW that'll give you the most out of your money(if they fixed the netcode on pc that is).
