Its convoluted and a chore. The enemies are boring and an actual interesting, real world lore was reduced to "a leech man in a dress who sings did it all. user, did you really play RE Zero with AI partner? FFS, AI can't run pass the enemies you want, and will attack even those enemies that are better left alive (because they aeat too much bullet), aka leech enemies. The point of RE0 is to swap characters and send them to different parts of mansion. I mean, training facility.
If you played the game for more than 30 mins you'd know that Billy takes a lot more damage than Rebecca and therefore should be your main character.

Enemies do not attack you as soon as you enter the room. Worst case scenario, they are few steps away from you when you enter. The ''most dangerous'' location of all is that small room that is some sort of an infirmary (I think the gun is also there), where lots of zombies are, but you still have time to kill them. They will, however, stand near the door if you enter the room, ''bait'' them to come to you, then leave the room and enter the room again. But that is to be expected.

Bat is easy if you have flame grenades. And you should have them at that point.

Awards for finishing Leech Hunter are weapons with infinite ammo. All previous RE games had that reward.

The devs got extremely lazy with A and B. I would guess they were an afterthought. Fighting the same form of William twice, multiple times, was garbage and confusing. Then, Annette showed up twice and shot the same bullets and it got even stranger. RE2: Remake was a mistake.

I'd wait for a sale if 0 worries you that much, there are good and bad things about it, like the item drop handling (no boxes!), the ai buddy which you CAN manually control but moving 2 people at once is hard and giving them a weapon and the wrong ai command can send them off firing magnums at zombies, the eliminators (little monkey bastards) tank up damage and can stun lock you, plus some story inconsistencies (rebecca ends up very tough at the end of it, so why in 1 was she so weak?), otherwise its not too bad
just that dodge mechanic is bad, that and the only variety outside of mercenaries is small rng elements otherwise you're gonna be doing the same shit multiple times just for the epilogues

REmake 2 is too short to be any higher than I placed it. 6 was worse than 5 at launch but after the multiple patches and rereleases it's better than 5. 5 is complete dogshit and easily the worst in the series. 3 was way too easy with the excessive amounts of ammo and broken dodge mechanic. It gets points for Jill and some decent bosses but otherwise is extremely mediocre.

REmake is longer than base RE1 and longer than REmake 2. REmake 2 is not only shorter than RE2 but the 2nd Run also changes less. It's a great game but the cut content definitely hurts it.

RE3 is the easiest of the original trilogy. Nemesis is predictable and as I said above the game gives you too much ammo (letting you make your own doesn't help) and the dodge/shove thing was easy to abuse. Maybe a remake can fix it but as it is RE3 is a mess.

Nemesis isn't difficult to fight or avoid. And the streets are very rarely narrow. Plus you can dodge them now. 3 is a joke.

For instance, it takes almost 60 handgun shots to defeat Nemesis in the first encounter. That's why you need to master the dodge mechanic to play on normal (hard) mode, cause the number of enemies and narrow streets on your path can suck you dry before you reach RPD.

RE1 has less enemies but still gives you mountains of ammo and that's just for Chris. Jill's campaign is baby tier. Boss fights are jokes, dont even need to fight yawn the first time, can stand completely still and kill the plant in 30secs, 5 if playing as Jill, can stand still and kill yawn in 10 secs, is the black widow even a boss, and tyrant 1 is another joke, with Tyrant 2 being barely a step up. You dont even need to kill zombies really, because you can walk right past 80% of them

RE2 has more enemies, so you are giving basically unlimited ammo, you can get a shotgun/bowgun in the first minute and there about 60 handgun bullets between the beginning of the game and the RPD, licker can easily walked pasted, and every boss fight is a complete joke, with the only "threatening" being a rehash of Tyrant 2.

RE3 Nemesis encounters and his fights are harder than anything RE1 and RE2 has to offer even with a dodge and a surplus of ammo.

It's only hard when you start hardcore blind and thinking other game rules ie headshot=instakill will work

RE2 and REmake 2 are both easy games. I'd say REmake 2 is slightly harder only because doing hardcore blind run and the sewers are fucking cancer, but once you know what you're doing, it can be finished in 15 minutes.

I much prefer RE1 to REmake. REmake's cool, but a lot of the extra stuff they added felt pointless (crimson heads etc). It was also much easier to cause zombies to whiff so most enemies didn't feel threatening.

Original RE2 is a piece of cake. You can miss every third/fourth shot and still kill everything. People hate RE5 for being an action game but conveniently forget 2 was basically a fixed angle TPS, and 3 had Jill dodging rockets/sprinting across rooms in a second. 2 had great atmosphere but the gameplay was way too simple.
