Maybe I'm just misremembering, but I think Sony paid Atlus a lot of money to make a PS4 version of Persona 5, which in turn extended the development time for it. That's why its for both PS3 and 4, and basically the reason the Switch isn't going to get it.

I remember they literally polled their audience (twitter audience at least) about porting it to Switch or PC sometime a year back and it seems it was slanted 75% in favor of a Switch port. At this point there would be no logical reason not to do so. I expect it a few months after the western PS4 release of The Royal so probably late 2020.

I know the polls aren't official. I'm saying that the possibility is there. Of course it ultimately boils down to what deals have been made and what money can be allocated. I certainly don't see anything preventing Persona 5 from being released on Switch. Atlus have released almost every recent SMT series on Nintendo handhelds and for some reason Persona is off limits? I don't see it. Looking at the market and audience of the Switch it would be baffling not to consider. If Sony does indeed have an exclusivity deal then that's all that needs to be said, but when even a PS4 game like Dragon Quest XI is coming to Switch worldwide in a few months I have to know what's the deal here?
