I'm afraid I won't like this as much as I've liked Umineko. Especially since it loses the mystery element, which drew me to his works in the first place. I haven't read RGD nor Higanbana yet. Not so long for me, it has only been three years. Waiting for ZTD was hard so I had to set my eyes on other stuff and thought "hey I liked the Higurashi anime so why not reading the sequel without doing the mistake of ruining it with a garbage adaptation"

I've read several times that the fanbase was really obnoxious here, on Yea Forums and /jp/ around 9 years ago. I wish I could have witnessed this but being French and really young there was no chance I would have known about it
I never even read umineko because at that point it was just a shitty book to me. Why bother playing a visual novel with no branching plot or differing endings? I'd rather actually read good writing.
