SFIV and SSFIV were both great in this regaurd also. i have a retard meathead friend who used to love the character select music in Super IV and he listens to hit when he's running at the gym.

The people who actually play fighting games dont talk about them online. It takes shitton of hours just to stay competitive. 99% of the time you see people talking online about fighters, they dont actually play them. At best they watch streams of tournaments and repeat whatever they heard from X player in his youtube update.

Sfv is now free to play for the next two weeks. Try it out. Most of the old cast still have the same motion inputs, just way more forgiving so you may find yourself doing way more unintentional DPs than normally.

The basics are still the same: fast 0 reach light attacks and slow long range hitting heavy attacks. The only difference is that all characters are viable up to platinum ranks.

And its like the only fighter with cross play. So you can pick it on PC and play with console peasants.

I don't think fighting games are so time consuming that everybody knowledgeable about them spends all their time on them, I just think they're hard enough to get into and spectator/fanart friendly enough that a bunch of people are interested in fighting games without playing them, leading to masses of dumbasses parroting whichever shit opinion makes them look as elite as possible. Hence the comparitive love for Third Strike and the shitting on every other Street Fighter.
