I already tried streaming myself, and while it's certainly better in a way than just watching, it just doesn't actually feel fulfilling. It's like I'm just wasting my time.

i did enough to get affiliate by streaming games with few streams. i got 3 free shit posting emote slots. ive got a few subs here and there and a few donos. i dont expect it to go any further

You're probably doing it wrong. Don't look for streamers; look for games, then find streamers in those games you like. I've been watching twitch a lot lately because I got hooked into mario 64 speedruns and retro games. And now I watch kaizo mario runs as well.

Otherwise I just put on some show on hulu. Don't know what your problem with tv is. There's always something good out there. If you're a cheap ass try Pluto TV.

I don't plan on watching it. Just doesn't look that interesting, though I'm sure its fine. I haven't given many hulu originals a chance unfortunately. Only one I've seen was the first season of The Path and I liked it that. Otherwise I mostly watch Adult Swim shows and futurama. They had a deal on thanksgiving where you get a ad version for a dollar a month for 12 months. They might have more deals coming if you're patient.

Watch anything unrelated to gaming. Watching game related content is the biggest waste of time.

Speedrun streams are hard to enjoy since it all comes to the streamer. If you have the silent streamer who usually talks in whispers, it will quickly become boring. Streamers like Bawkbasoup, Caleb, werster and ZFG are entertaining because they have a lot of interaction with the chat, with the only issue that since most of them are big, is hard to have a discussion in chat, but werster's is at least a bit more chill. There's also carcinogen but he has been trying to distance himself from speedruns (Resident Evil mostly) for a while and now dedicates mostly to no damage runs, which are pretty entertaining. I actually got more into Twitch thanks to fighting game streams, which are always all kinds of fun and entertaining, so there's that. There's also the fact that apparently Twitch wants to turn speedrunning into e-sports with Twitch Rivals and PACE, which is something I simply have no interest on.

Right now there's Retrothon at retrogaminglivetv and the whole week has been very fun to watch.

Absolutely give shut eye a chance. It's only 2 seasons but it's about the scam artistry behind psychic parlors and a bit of gypsy culture. Really good drama.
And yeah I've been a member for hulu since when they offered day after on the new shows for free, and hulu plus shortly after so I'm on ad free for the original $8.99 price point, as long as I manage to pay every month.
