Okay fags, I notice these threads always die within ten posts so let's try to hit double digits this time. Talk about anything related to the series please.
I'm playing through the classic games for the first time now, and so far 3 actually seems to be the hardest. Do you think that's strange?
3 was literally unfinished and they didn't have time to balance the doc stage's difficulty.
William Johnson
Only thing about 3 that still gives me difficulty is the copy bots from 2. The damage they inflict is retarded.
Jacob Stewart
Anything? Well okay
>7 is still great >X5, X7 and X8 are all pretty enjoyable. X6 isn't >Zero features a bunch of plot points that i dislike >ZXA sucks >Legends 2 sucks >BN6 might be the best one >SF3 might also be the best one >Sonia best girl >Megaman threads will still go unnoticed until those X and BN phone games are out
It feels very unbalanced as a whole so far. The stages I've played are as hard as MM1's but the robot masters are piss easy, while I got to Hard Man and tried buster only which I found too difficult. Not only that, but the weapons I've won so far (Top Man's and Snake Man's) are pretty shit. It's my least favorite of the first three games so far, but at least the music is really good.
No, that would be insta-death big telly firebombs in Burner Man's stage
Austin Adams
Just started battle network for the first time.
I really don't like that I can only attach one chip type per turn. Is there a later game in the series where you can just attach different chip types in the same turn and go crazy? Like a canon, a dropball thing, stage grab, etc all in one turn?
I assume each game is balanced for first time players to the series, and story isn't that important for me, so it should be fine if I just jump in right?
I've heard 3 is almost universally considered the best one, there a reason for that?
I consider it easier than 1, but harder than 2. Like most classic MM it seems kinda stupid tough until you learn all the little tricks and nuances, then it gets pretty easy.
3 is my favorite of the classic games though so maybe I'm biased.
Charles Campbell
Hey, we have still have that "Rockman X Interactive" doc Protodude's getting translated. That should liven up the threads a bit. It worked with Light's journal.
Noah Bailey
I grew up on Battle Network being introduced to the whole franchise on the Anime with no regrets. I sadly never got to play them aside from Network Transmission and the best toy that you could use for BN4.
Zero is absolutely broken in X6 the moment you grab him. They made him the most fluid he ever was in terms of control with ground rush being spammable while the Z-Buster actually became useful acting like an OP shotgun.
David Garcia
Zoomer here the first and only megaman game I ever played was in the arcades. You could pick from megaman, protoman and Bass, and just fight the boss battles, I remember having alot of fun with it, I liked cartoony artstyle of the robots.
Jackson Butler
Iwamoto's designs all look really gay.
Jonathan Carter
Sounds like you played Power Battle. It's silly that it wasn't included within the legacy collection, keeping the original anniversary release superior.
Lucas Parker
Yoshikawa design best design
Try the classic series at the very least. They still stand up today.
Evan Reyes
It's the glossiness that makes it over the top. Should have toned it down like 50%.
only the doc robots and buster only on some robot masters is difficult. the rest of the game is a cakewalk.
Brayden Hernandez
So does the time stop
Jayden Bennett
The X legacy collection added a special achievement for doing it without time stop. If you aren't precise you're screwed. Speedster helps a ton though.
Nathaniel Collins
>ywn get a rework of X6 that fixes the implementation of the Nightmare system >ywn get a full blown remake of X7 that does "X in 3D" with any degree of competency >tfw these games' good ideas are forever damned to sub-mediocrity
These games could be good, goddammit. They can be fixed.
At some point not long after the first boss in most BN games, you start to build a decent amount of chips to actually start building a deck with.
Nearing the endgame you start to build REALLY crazy decks. ESPECIALLY when you're hunting, you'll want to build decks and pray you get your chips in the right order so that you can obliterate 2000+ health in under 5 seconds to get the best boss chips. But it takes knowledge, planning and some luck.
Hudson Nguyen
Reminder that Black Zero is only kept unobtainable aside from cheats due to the way the game is programmed. You have to get 5k nightmare souls to fight zero at level 4, but 3k souls cause the final stages to unlock and swaps him with Dynamo instead.
Noah Carter
>7>3>6>5>2>10>8>4>1>9 Fight me
Connor Morris
You're not wrong, 7 is relatively good, 9 is absurdly hard.
Daniel Clark
9 was my first MM and I found it okay in difficulty. 10 absolutely destroyed me though.
Christopher Ramirez
haven't played 11 yet
Kevin Scott
the difference between those two is that 9 has many bullshit parts, 10 is difficult all around in a good way
Christopher Butler
I actually had an easier time with MM1 compared to MM3. Fuck MM3 dude there's so many cool ideas that got shit on by pinhead enemy placement, padding out game time, level design, and the most shitty weapon abilities so far (I'm on Megaman 5 right now)
Carson Bell
>Capcom is doing big revivals across the board >Mega Man gets a budget sequel using a 30-year-old formula with a big 11 tacked on the end scaring away any potential new players >It sells like shit and they've not said anything about Mega Man since >All the Mega Man media accounts have gone back to shilling merch >We will never get a high-budget, 3D Mega Man game that actually draws new players and manages to be successful >Within a few years, Legends fags will probably convince somebody that's the 3D Mega Man we want >It'll release to the thundering applause of 5 people and kill the entire IP forever Fuck Capcom and fuck the average Mega Man fan
Brandon Harris
11 is a cakewalk in comparison once you get used to the mechanics. The game is rather fluid in comparison to the rest.
Dominic Cruz
Is this worth buying? I have Legacy Collection 1. But don't have 2, and never played 7, or 10 or 11 yet. I haven't played any of the X games besides 1, 4, and 6 and remember almost nothing about em. I ask because it's $45 on PSN right now, but like I said, I already have the first Legacy Collection
>It sells like shit and they've not said anything about Mega Man since >11 sold 880k copies in 4 months >Capcom also pleased with sales of X legacy collection
Get a load of this guy.
Aaron Nguyen
I think you'r misunderstanding a bit.
The current rules of the first game are >pick card x >can't use any cards besides x in your hand >gauge refills >pick card y >cant use any cards besides y in your hand
I'm sure my decks will get more expansive as the game goes on. What I'm asking is if any games let me mix and max cards in a single hand.
I THINK hand is what they call those 5 cards you pick from your deck. Whatever they call it, mixing cards in that is what I'm talking about.
Gavin Jones
Good to know. I'm glad.
Grayson Collins
MM1 was surprisingly a lot of fun for me. It's really buggy and has some outright bullshit (like those flying helipads that can push you toward the ceiling with no way to escape in one of Wily's stages), but it was still a really creative and satisfying game to play, and I had a lot of fun using elec man's weapon and the platform creator. I would honestly call it a diamond in the rough.
Easton Diaz
Then why did the actual producer of MM11 say that not enough people bought it for them to consider DLC? Every other Capcom game since like 2010 has gotten DLC but 11 got any plans for it scrapped according to all available sources
Robert Wright
I mean you can emulate them for free and if you have a ps controller you can use it with emulators with the motionjoy program. If you have an xbox controller that's even easier.
Jose Perez
Likewise. I remember it being way way harder when I was younger and don't get me wrong it is a tough game, but I didn't have too much of a hard time. The robot masters also have some of my favorite designs so far Elecman's especially because he seemed so cool. He's probably my favorite robot design next to Protoman's.
MM9 IS JUST MM2 EXCEPT LIKE 10 TIMES BETTER. There, I fucking said it.
William Williams
Because while it performed great worldwide in sold like molasses in Japan.
Tyler Ward
That's always true about emulation, and I feel kind of like an idiot for getting these collections at times, but for some reason having it on a Switch cartridge with the nice menu select all wrapped together conveniently makes it feel worth it. My only regret is that I bought it used, so despite the case advertising the complete 1-10 legacy collection, it only had 1-6 with a download code for 7-10. If there is one trend in game publishing I hope goes away soon, it is absolutely this.
Kevin Powell
I started on the BN series yesterday, playing 1, dealing with the water mission.
How hard does the game get from? I ask because Woodman.exe kicked my ass a few times.
Nolan Gomez
Yeah well you’re like a faggot but 10 times worse MM10 > MM9
Kayden Campbell
I do think 3 is the hardest between the first 3.
I am currently playing X3 for the first time and had a bit of a hard time against Blast Hornet, until I figured out the patterns
Jose Bell
u fookin wot m8
9 > 11 > 3 > 6 > 4 > 10 > 8 > 2 > 5 > 1 > 7
Jordan Rivera
Yes, this is objectively true. I don't understand the love for 2 beyond its OST.
Jeremiah Hall
Correct.
Cooper Walker
It's a gorgeous game. Compare Bubble Man and Wood Man's stages to pretty much anything on the NES.
Robert Richardson
>5 above anything >9 at the bottom Not gonna lie man, that’s shit taste
Eli Torres
do you like the Zero GBA games?
if you haven't played them, get on it asap
Isaiah Baker
You can pick cards that have the same code, regardless of type, so you can take a hand of Cannon A and any other cards that are code A. Building your deck around being able to pull out a bunch of cards is an important part of the game. You need to decide between the versatility of having many cards and letters or the power and speed of being able to draw a full hand every turn. You can also form special combo cards by drawing certain cards in order, and building decks around these combos is usually a solid strategy.
Julian Reed
Normal mode difficulty select.
Josiah Sanchez
Just play X8 if you want X7 but good
Jeremiah Morris
megaman 11 was okay. the double gear system was lame. the story was awful. the quality of voice acting was painful. it was cheesily unforgiving
Adam Nelson
2 > 3 > 1 > a pile of dog shit > the rest of the series > anything not original megaman like fucking bullshit please fuck off storyshit X series.
Jason Gutierrez
Ohhh okay. Guess misunderstood things.
Thanks. I'll just keep on playing 1 for now.
Brody Jackson
Man X8 had everything it needed to be a good game but they ABSOLUTELY fucked it up by making every stage but the intro and two others into gimmick stages. I’m still mad!
Dylan Perez
6 > 4 > 11 > 9 = 3 = 7 > 8 > 10 > 2 > 1 > 5 3 and 7 are my favorite nostalgic pics but 5, 6, and 11 are actually better games imo. 3 might be in 6 or 4's spot had it been finished completely. I love all the games though, except 5, which I think is just okay, and while I don't play 1 any more I think it's a damn good first attempt. Even saying that about 5, the music is excellent as always. It really just suffers from a mostly awful weapon set, making the buster way too easy to fall back on. Hell, I find Spark Shot in 3 better than most of the weapons in 5, because at least it has uses for speeding through certain sections.
I need you to explain how 1 is better than 9 and 10. I can understand the others if you're autistic enough about the charge shot but otherwise, nope.
Alexander Ortiz
Memorable robot masters Good looking stages Metal blade Wily Stage 1 Say what you will about it but Mega Man 2 still holds up really well for only the second game in the series.
Justin Martinez
>11's weapons aren't shit
Jose Wilson
Wew, 4 and 6 are better games, fucking typos
Wyatt Lopez
>11's weapons aren't shit You'd be absolutely correct. Every weapon is pretty useful. I find that Torch Man's weapon is perfect for carrying you throughout Wily 2. It almost feels like the stage is made for it.
Jonathan Hill
It’s the funnest set of weapons in the series though
Kayden Wood
True I suppose but I still think X7 could be salvaged if it was just made in a different engine and had its core gameplay elements overhauled to not suck ass. I guess what I'm getting at is that the idea of X in 3D need not inherently suck.
Eli Thomas
They're just as useful as MM3's weapons. Very situational, and not worth using otherwise.
Dylan Hall
4>2>9>7>11>3>8>6>10>1>5
Wyatt Peterson
I like 1 a lot. A lot of the problems it has could be fixed with some math adjustments.
Like Elecman being able to kill you in 3 fucking hits.
Blake Richardson
m8, 11 straight up has the best weapon set in the series. All of them are at least somewhat useful. The buster is almost the worst weapon in the game.
Daniel Hall
m8, 11's weapons are awful MUH BOUNCY BALLS
Christian Bennett
It's literally a better version of Strike Man's weapon in 10, which is already a fantastic weapon in its own right. You know you can aim it, right?
Jacob Perez
Bounce Man's weapon is the Mega Ball but not shit.
Julian Perez
Mega Ball isn't completely shit. As an attacking weapon, it is limited (although it can be used to hit enemies directly under you nicely), but you can use it in mid air to get a second jump, so it's decent for platforming
Justin Smith
They're all so overpowered to compensate for the charge shot. Really, they're almost like cheats.
Charles Gray
>tfw X5 hinted that Wily was still alive when you fought Sigma >instead of giving us some badass X vs. Wily fight X6 just revived Sigma again
Bounce Man's weapon is literally Triple Blade and Rebound Striker with multiple directions to aim. It shreds enemies in different areas. Because the projectiles bounce, they're also likely to deal some more damage to enemies away from the direction you're aiming. I will say that the Power Gear variant is underwhelming compared to the Power Gear variants of the other weapons in the game though
Luis Gomez
im trying to read this post but it just says >im retarded and dont know what gameplay is over and over
Nathan Morgan
The fuck are you talking about. You can cheese entire areas with it since it pretty much gives you infinite jumps
Julian Torres
Huh, didn't know that actually. Never did like it as an attack though so I typically avoided using it aside from the 2 bosses it was designed for.
Isaac Rivera
Inafune is a fag.
Brayden Parker
To be fair, I didnt know that the first time I played it either, but once I found that out it gets a lot of mileage out of me. 8 has some pretty fun weapons overall.
Robert James
You don't actually believe that, do you?
Carter James
X6 was a rushjob through and through and wasn't even supposed to be the continuation of X5.
Dylan Barnes
>11's weapons are the best >take, for example, this waepon that is the same weapon as this other weapon from this other mega man game
Robert Reed
I do agree with that and I like how it tries to incorporate their use in stages. I've got little against 8 as a whole, I just never cared for the Mega Ball enough to learn hidden tech like that.
Colton Moore
I have such a seething hatred for Mega Man 4. I genuinely believe it's the shittiest NES-style entry and its status as the new MM2 while people shit on MM2, an actually good game, in an effort to be contrarian is appalling. Especially since shitting on MM2 is hip and hot right now
Adam Ortiz
>every weapon has to be completely different You're fucking silly.
Okay, so what's actually bad about Mega Man 4? I'm not baiting, I want to know what you don't like about it.
Isaac Parker
What are your major gripes with Mega Man 4?
Liam Price
Yes user, making a better weapon based on older games weapons is a thing.
Sebastian Ramirez
try reading my post again RRRRRETARD
Luke Fisher
Not sure what you're even trying to argue here. Besides, can you really deny the utility of weapons like Impact, Block or Acid? Even the more situational ones like Fuse and Torch still have clear cut viability. The only one that kinda sucks is Blast and even then the power gear variant is excellent.
Daniel Green
secret pits for powerups, one of the worst precedents set for the series to follow.
Alexander Jones
I implore you to replay 5, aka "no good enemy patterns, everything just hits hard: the classic MM". It's almost insulting in its lack of nuance, really.
Gavin Morris
afaik only Wire was like that in 4, which is dumb but hardly worth hating a game over. You get ballon by crossing a gap instead of jumping in one. What else about the game do you not like? That can't be the only reason you hate the game.
Isaac Cooper
I'd say it was really solid: >great and original level design >great boss fights >fantastic weapons >several really nice QoL changes Yeah, only Mega Man being playable and only two Wily stages does suck but the positives heavily outweigh the negatives. MM11's in the top 5 best classic series games for sure.
Justin Davis
I love the X games but apparently I'm too retarded to play the Zero series.
I don't like Zero much because you basically have to play it like a speedrun for it to be any fun at all. That's fine if it wants to emphasize that to an extent but it's almost like that's the only way to really play them which is offputting.
Michael Lee
This implying X got new armor/full body upgrade to stop being a midget or something?
Camden White
Zero series is fucking kino. No MM games are as smooth and fluent in terms of gameplay.
Ryan Morales
While they did do that for Wire (which is admittedly not even a very useful utility item) in Dive Man's stage, when you actually run through the stage you notice that pits are nonexistent aside from that one after the miniboss. Every pit in that stage has spikes above it making that first pit all the more out of place. I also don't think putting that one utility there set a "precedent for the series" since most of the secret upgrades in later games in the classic series are hidden behind walls like in MM5 and MM6, and special weapon usage like in MM7 and MM8 (if you count bolts as upgrades). I will say that in general hiding things in pits is annoying, especially if the level design doesn't adequately indicate that the pit is not instant death but instead a hidden passage.
I like the mechanics and what I know of the story, I guess I just don't have the twitch reflexes to play it. It seems exremely fast.
William Murphy
>Filled to the brim with lame or tedious minibosses >Some minibosses are like 2 screens away from each other >Health bars fill way too slowly, kill the pace and kill the music >Not a fan of most robot master designs >Two water stages >Some completely broken shit that wasn't playtested like that instant death spike you be forcefully moved into if you jump during a screen transition in Dive Man's stage >Sets the precedent for the droning two castles concept that goes on way too long (although doc robots sucked too) >Those enemies that give you 1 frame to kill them in Cossack stages >No weapon/stage interaction like dust crusher shattering off of walls >Flash Stopper in general doesn't actually stop jack shit if you test it throughout the game while Time Stopper would stop entire stage hazards and even Wily Castle bosses in their tracks It's just not a fun game for me
Angel Lee
They're all manlets, X is 5'5 and Zero is maybe an inch taller.
Jace Wright
It's unrealistic!
Levi Bennett
It's intentionally fast paced and relies more on melee combat. Otherwise that's not playing as Zero.
Daniel Hill
So?
Logan Peterson
I just hate the ranking system, especially when they locked EX skills behind them. While it's nice to reward skilled players, it felt weird to get a feature that's staple to the megaman series (getting boss abilities/techniques) relegated to a bonus.
Michael Robinson
>can't let go of buster charge to get the free shot after the boss gauge fills, and there's no good signal of when the fight actually starts Sad!
Jordan Adams
oh yeah, and: >can't jump/slide through boss gates wtf were they thinking? i can't watch megaman freeze mid-move anymore??? whoever made that decision should be murdered
Juan Scott
This. Zero feels like you either absolutely kick a stage's ass or you shouldn't have bothered even finishing it. It's far too content to make the act of finishing a stage normally a hollow victory, a problem that plagues no other subseries.
Andrew Clark
oh nevermind, you were talking about 4. my b
Carter Hill
I loved gaining upgrades and feeling stronger in the X series but the Elves system basically made such a thing often feel terrible. They got a balance with chips and Satellite evles in Zero 3 but punishing a player for using the cool upgrades you give them feels stupid.
Ethan Ramirez
I beat the game so much I had it imprinted in memory. Elves need not apply. It only mattered in 2 and 3, and there were Elves for free A or S ranks.
>Want Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 and 2 for Switch >Dedicated physical collector where possible >2 never got a physical release >1 only got a physical release in US with download code for 2 >Am Britfag
Shit's annoying. I went as far as to import Rockman X Legacy Collection 1 and 2 as separate physical titles. Why didn't Mega Man/Rockman Legacy Collection 2 get similar treatment?
Isaiah Harris
yuros tend to draw the short end of the stick, not just with Capcom.
Christian Mitchell
Switch cartridge costs make budget title physical copies much harder to make a profit on.
Nathaniel Garcia
That's a really dumb reason to hate MM4. The Wire is not required to beat the game. Hell it's actually quite useless, there's nowhere the Wire can reach that you can't reach with Rush or Balloon.
Heard the anime was pretty cool but never got dubbed in English/american.
Carson Perez
Is this VHSman.EXE or videobufferingman.EXE?
Charles Cooper
VideoMan.exe was a weird choice design-wise. He's designed around outdated video storage and input technology even for the time the game was made, at least as tape is concerned.
Michael Anderson
I've been wanting this tattoo on my back since middle school but never can find a good artist.
>video game tattoo >tattoo in general lmfao super cringe
Tyler Phillips
It won't look nearly as good I know but it looks so cool and the only tattoo I would ever get.
Daniel Evans
If anyone gets a tattoo then they should be able to show it off proudly if not they don't deserve to have a tattoo. At the same time it shouldn't be the thing that defies them.
Good lord that's a pipe dream but I'd love to see it happen. >no new game+ bullshit >chips aren't horrendously underpowered >WoodMan doesn't slow the game to a crawl (granted, that was already fixed in the VC version) Hell, since we're really dreaming here >overhauling the story and making it a proper BN game rather than shitty tournament arcs
Anthony Roberts
Even if you fix translation errors and glitches you still have a pretty bad game with shitty minigames and almost no story at all. But if you tell me that they'll remove the 1HP penalty for using a Dark chip they'll have all of my money.
Gavin Perry
Took you long enough to show up
Camden Richardson
Legends 1 had a greatest hits label, so plenty of people have played it.
Jose Rogers
>can finally spam overpowered shit in SF3 multiplayer again >or maybe even learn how to properly play multiplayer since it won't be dead by the time I get into it >and MOST IMPORTANTLY fight Acid Ace BB/Dread Joker RR and 100% the game legitimately
Dominic Ramirez
>People placing 3 anywhere but the bottom
That game was designed so poorly it literally fucking lags in every boss fight when you attack
Noah Reyes
At that point you're asking for a remake
Colton Allen
A remake is the only thing that could fix the fucking mess that is BN4, so
Juan Allen
God I want to buy the legacy collection, but it's just roms and a emulator with a shitton of input lag. There's so fucking much input lag jesus christ, did NO ONE playtest this shit. FUCK.
Oh my god yes. It's 8 games, three SNES, three PSone, and two PS2 games. That's a steal for $30, especially since most collections charge $50 for two PS2 games.
That said. If you honestly care that much about the original music, import the Japanese releases. It's literally the same game outside of the music. Even defaults to English.
Lucas Russell
the PC version? it had some inconsistent performance problems where it runs great for some, and unbearably for others. if you're getting it on Steam be ready to refund, if you're getting it on PS4/Switch then the input lag might bother you if you're sensitive to that sort of thing - but if you're not, then hey. If you're playing on PC though you might as well emulate the games yourself besides X7 and X8.
Keep in mind the X3 is the SNES version, not the PS1 version.
How did you get past the Nino Ruins water glitching out in retroarch? The beetle hw core didn't do so hot for me.
Carter Taylor
X6 is unenjoyable despite having Metal Shark Player
Joshua Bell
I played Legends 2 on epsxe a couple years ago, didn't have any issues. Beetle HW and PCSX Rearmed both give me shit with games like Medal of Honor so i'm sticking with the normal Beetle for now, but i've not got around to Legends 2 again on it.
Matthew Johnson
Just wait until you touch X7. X6 at least controls nicely.
Austin Johnson
Thank you so much! I bet there are a lot of people who'll come to see this!
>X6 is unenjoyable despite having Metal Shark Player
Logan Smith
As someone with a number of tattoos and knows many people who tattoo and have them don't get a vidya tattoo as your first and only tattoo. The secret behind pulling off pop culture tattoos is that they can't be your only tattoos. Astro Boy would look pretty fucking retarded on pic related if she had zero tattoos and except for a big ass Astro Boy covering her forearm. It's also generally better to make sure your pop culture tattoos are gigantic pieces that take up all the attention. A dozen small classic American style sailor tattoos don't look as badass when you've got a gigantic fucking super Mario as your focal point.
He looks like he's ready to kill. Also, I don't understand why future titles didn't carry over artwork for portraits and relied on sprite work instead.
Come on now, we know the real Mayl wears shorts and has a pocket
Charles Nguyen
megabump
Joseph Taylor
Why was the American box arts so bland in comparison? They essentially removed 90% of the background for a bland stock color.
Henry Miller
The Switch version at least is just fine for me, I had one death due to lag in MM1 but you should be fine in the other games unless you're a stickler for these things.
Hunter Hall
for some reason localization really loves doing this shit. I have no idea if it's licensing, trying to make it less Japanese, or what
Blake Jones
i cant put my finger on it, but i actually find cuphead easier although im guessing eight-way aiming has something to do with it
Nathan Foster
>>Legends 2 sucks
Manda ruins on Extra Hard difficulty is honestly the most fun I've had with Megaman ever. Shame the game isn't really balanced for % based armors so the games difficulty plummets after Manda (Except for a single room that introduces the unblockable ice damage then forgets it exists for the rest of the game)
Someone didn't check the boxes on the way to the Marlwolf
Wyatt Thomas
Has anyone realized that Sky lagoon was a literal false flag event to force the repliforce into making a space ethno state? The autism was a little too strong in Colonel.
The Maverick Hunters weren't even going to label/hunt them until they shot first in retaliation to something they thought was going to happen. Kernel is a stupid shit.
Justin Davis
Never played em I just always see art with him helmet less. Good to know
Hudson Bennett
Canonically the Repliforce were in deep shit sooner or later. Maverick cases were increasing all over the board despite the Repliforce being literal military police intended to keep that shit in check, and people were already starting to suspect them of potentially being tied to things escalating. Sigma approaching and then having Magma Dragoon inciting the Sky Lagoon incident was just his way of forcing hands to be tipped in his favor. It didn't help that Colonel, being half of a failed Ultimate Soldier project, lacked the compassion and proper emotions that went over to Iris, so he really was literally "muh honor". Dr. Cain and humanity were just as much to blame for sticking him in his position.
Landon Turner
Good news is that once you equip the helmet, it also sticks to Mega Man's head in pretty much every cutscene, too. I can't remember if there were any exceptions.
Levi Cruz
Just finished MM11 and it was pretty decent. The QoL changes were very welcomed and level design was pretty tight. My only gripe is the length of the levels. My god do they drag on!
Thomas Bailey
You get adapted to them. I've been slowly playing a stage at a time on Normal after clearing the game in a day on Easy, and the stages aren't as long as I remember.
Julian Bennett
>tfw never played a MM outside 1 and 2 and then Bass in an arcade once
These kinds of series are so intimidating to start I don't know where to begin or how to best to play them all but I love the gameplay (sometimes) and lore and designs.
William Morgan
Huh. Maybe it's the fact that my first playthrough was (mostly) buster-only while (mostly) not using the gears on Normal that made me feel that way. Oh also the music was very forgettable imo.
Nathaniel Collins
is x9 a thing yet
Liam Baker
>had and loved the BN series as a kid >playing through it again >first has some obvious issues that I remember being fixed/improved as the series went along >for the most part it was just a quick and enjoyable experience and as nice as I remember >start BN2 which I remember being my favorite as a kid >annoying ass fetch quests >go find X, run around vague area getting random encounters up the ass for shitty chips and minimal zenny until I finally find it >get to do one boss/story area before it makes me upgrade to C licence >even more shitty fetch quests and random encounter hell >again do 1 story area with annoying guessing games but its still a welcome break >back to the web to get ANOTHER license upgrade, this time with 3 mandatory fetch quests I have to do one at a time >all this in addition to having my power reset to zero so battles take forever Was 2 just a real slog at the start? this is just getting annoying, I don't remember it being this bad. I just want to play the story and fight cool bosses not dick around with infinite random encounters and quests on the web
Nolan Williams
>Legends 2 sucks Shit, I thought I was in the Mega Man thread, not the bad opinions thread.
Asher Long
Anyone else never do buster only runs? Just always bores me to play through ignoring all these upgrades and cool powers
Grayson Morris
As far as the platformers go, it's very simple: Classic > X > Zero
Mason Fisher
I'm the opposite. I feel like using the RMs weapons outside of boss fights is cheating so I tend to only use the buster during the levels. I'm autistic I know.
Kayden Garcia
Depends on the game, because hoo boy do some boss weapons suck, while others rock.
Cooper Cox
The nice things about BN2 were Netopia, the post game and exploring around the net after you're done with everything, especially after FreezeMan's crystal shenanigans. Try to stack some sneak runs before you start doing shit, the game is already piss easy even without Gater so you don't need to farm chips from battles.
