Finding Yea Forums in 2009 was honestly heaven for me. The freedom from account bullshittery was and still is something entirely refreshing in an age where everybody and their mother is asking for your personal details after several decades of being told "don't share shit."

1. someone else might answer
2. discussions can take place over a long period of time

This makes me wonder why threads automatically locking after a certain period of inactivity is not standard across forums. I've come across very few sites where they had something like this implemented.

There was a time where I cared about my post count. I even reached 1000 posts but the mods kept deleting old threads so my post count always got below 1000 in the end.
