Usually when you have characters who gain immense power and use it to act as judge, jury, and executioner, they go off the deep end and start killing people for more and more petty reasons. Keisuke literally only killed actual murderers and rapists the whole time during the absolute chaos which was the lockdown where the weak were getting murdered and raped by the droves. The heroes don't even really have anything to say about him besides "uh if you kill them you'll be just like them" with no alternative other than just destroying COMPs because apparently it's fine to let people be murdered by bats or knives but not demons.

fusion is based only on the component demons' base level and race, any combination of two races will always result in the same race, the demon of that race is the closest member to the average level of the two components, plus a certain number, I think 1 or 2 levels.
i.e. if you fuse a Shan Xiao (lvl 14) and a Preta (lvl 6) the result will be Hel (lvl 43) because Wood and Haunt results in a Reaper and Hel is the lowest level Reaper available.

I expect it'll take a lot of the different things that made individual games good and put them all in a single package, so it'll have IV:A's combat and QoL in its fusion, an atmosphere like Nocturne or SJ, a soundtrack like IV's and so on, and I woulnd't be too surprised if it takes the starting section of SMT1 where there's a gradual descent into the apocalypse too rather than jumping right into it.
What I hope is that it's not just SMT's greatest hits rolled into one and it manages to stand on its own two feet as well. I don't want them to just bring over IV:A's combat with not even an attempt at mixing things up or to end up feeling like a Nocturne knock off in its presentation. Some specific things I'd like to see are P4G's and P5's fusion system, it should have IV:A's search system, but I think P4G and P5 have a good balance of restricting your freedom in choosing a Demon's skillset while also still giving you some choice, unlike IV or IV:A where you can just transfer over whatever you want, or Nocturne where you have to rely on RNG. If they brought back Demon Sources or something like it that would be fine too. Better dungeons would be nice seeing as they were easily the worst part of IV:A's gameplay, despite it doing everything else so well. I don't need anything amazing, just something that's not so linear and feels like more than zero thought went into its layout. YHVH's Universe and the Cosmic Egg were the only ones that didn't feel that way. Another thing I'd like to see, but I really don't expect it if they're taking from Nocturne, is more fights with other Devil Summoners, it's not something MegaTen games do often, but I like when they do.

Like the tokyo reveal and the contrast between Mikado abd tokyo was amazing and the infernal and blasted tokyo sequences were kino as all hell.
IV:A was really good on paper, the idea that the other pantheons are sick of mr.Clean's shit was great.

Well, I wasn't criticizing that about Persona, I like Persona and I like the VN elements of it, but the dating part of it is shallow, and while I don't think it should have a big focus it's still too shallow for my liking, though I think P4G and P5 were both close to getting it right so I'm hopeful that P5R will strike a point where it feels like it has an appropriate amount of relevance, and I'm not worried it'll be overly-intrusive because that's never been the case. After many weeks of trying to find a copy of this game, I finally got my hands on the PC version of Megami Ibunroku Persona. Originally released in March 1999 (around three months before Persona 2: Innocent Sin), it is a very straightfoward port, without adding any new content. There are some things I’d like to note, though:
The game is incompatible with 64-bit OS. I had to install it in my old 32-bit laptop.
The PC port was released for Windows 95/98, but I didn’t have to run it in compatibility mode (before anyone asks, the laptop I used to install the game runs Win7).
You don’t have to change system locale to play the game, only if you want to see Japanese characters instead of gibberish during the installation and the config menu (the game proper uses its own font, so no strange symbols).
The game plays in 640x480 fullscreen only.
Loading times and battle speed are a lot better when compared to the PSX version. Transition between dungeon crawling and battles are quicker too.
I’ve read before that you could distribute points to all party members in this version, but this information is false. You can only control the protagonist’s stat growth.
Likewise, I’ve heard that the game lacks what little voice acting the original had, but this is also false. BGM is a lot louder than voices when compared to the PSX version, but the game still has voices. Some sound effects like the sweatdrop one (which is also missing from the PSP port) are missing though.
I’ve also heard that you can turn off battle animations but guess what? False again.
One thing I do have to complain is the world map, which covers a very limited amount of space compared to the original. I have to bring up the city map every five seconds to check where I am.

You should ideally be using demons that match your alignment and have skills that can trigger Demon Co-op so that you could increase the amount of damage. In practice, you might need to use a mix of strong non-aligned demons with others that match your alignment. You'll end up fusing them for stronger demons, though, so you might not want to get too attached to any particular demon unless you really like their design/personality/etc.

In the original DS Strange Journey, the best use of Japanese Doomguy was to use items to ensure the rest of your heavy hitters are healed up and doing damage. This is because Item usage takes first priority regardless of how fast any of the other demons are. His damage output was also rather mediocre compared to what the demons in his party can do in the original DS. Redux rectified this somewhat by giving him special commander buff abilities he can use to augment the rest of the party and passives that have chances of activating.
