Tried PSVR. Totally made me see the truth. About how full of shit VRfags are.
Its a mediocre piece of clumsy, unfocused garbage. There's no way any real games can work in that trash because the controls are so loose. They are so bad it somehow managed to make Doom unfun and a grind to play.
Maybe try again in 10 year VRfags.

>Budget Console VR

Yeah no shit it's trash.

>PSVR
Did you really think anyone but the master race would be allowed to into vr?

Attached: (You) for a fucking pleb.gif (480x238, 415K)

What did you play?

PSVR, hardware wise, is trash. But if you played a good game with it, like Astro Bot, you should at least realize how, with good hardware, VR can be a real game changer.

incoming VRnigger COPE

>like Astro Bot

Attached: vinny sniff.gif (345x260, 1.98M)

Well, now that you have it you could get a wiff out of Tetris Effect or Rez before returning it.

Bet you didn't play it.

got me there you cheeky cunt
looks like moss/lucky's tale though

I tried a ton of free demos in the official PS vr app. A bunch of experiences like when you are lowered into the sea and a shark comes. Liked that part desu, was trying to dodge away from the shark.
Played resident evil, Doom, booted astro bot and shut it down in 5 seconds.
I think only way VR games can work if they are made around crazy experiences like that shark hunting you. And not around gameplay because of the clumsy controls.

VR has a more mechanical effect on the experience than it does in those games. VR is mostly used for just aesthetic effect in those games. Astro Bot has more creative level design.

>VR is amazing, you please just don't understand
>Fucks off to VRchat and LARPs as an anime girl

Same op the hardware just isn't there.
Maybe if u have a 3000usd setup with lots of lighthouses and custom shit but then there's still cables and gay shit in the way

I tried Vive too, its shit

big true

I know 2 people like this

I want to believe.

Is this a rogue valve employee. We gonna see a half life?

Btw are you supposed to use the controller to aim the blink? I was using my head lol. Maybe that's why I didn't have fun.

*in doom VFR

>console VR
Almost as bad as mobile VR lol

Attached: 124453.jpg (640x640, 95K)

>psvr
Never actually used PSVR but the fact that it's attempting to run VR on a console tells me there's no way you were getting a real experience.

>tried the HMD that has the lowest resolution and a bunch of games that barely has a "VR mode"
Lol what a joke.

This. We have real games like, uh, VRchat! And gam- I mean music players like beat saber!! VR is the future of movi..uh.. games!

Its literally 3d glasses all over again.

dude gorn lmao

>vorpx to find a way to play old games
>racing and flying sims
And then yes...
>whatever gimmick they can came up with to use that roomscale bullshit
It may work to do exercise, but thats it.

Dont be fooler, VR was ment for sitting expreriences, not to be standing wiggling arround.

>racing sim
>oh wow im inside the car
After 5 min
>man I wish I was playing this on a proper monitor it would be much easier.

Don't use my boy vin for your shitposting

>because its easier
Then might aswell not use a force beedback wheel because it would be easier with the passive assist in the steering, also play in third person because its easier to know whats going on, and then since you went that far, not play a sim at all, but forza or some other simcade wannabe because sims are hard.
AKA: keep playing gran autismo on a couch.
Its not convenient, its realistic-immersive.

Cockpit view is dumb for most games. In a real car there are g forces affecting you so you know where the car's ass is while you're sliding. In games you don't have that so you should use third person.
t.finished all dirt and grid games.

Sure you did.

even as someone with a shit ton of money to burn, a stupid PC, i'm just not sure if anything on it is even worth the 1,400 $ pricetag.
Can you play beatsaber on Vive pro?

Don't get that shit. Get Odyssey+, 300 bucks. Virtually identical. Plays beatsaber fine, though obviously you're not going to be world-class.
Hands down worth it at that price point. Play superhot, arizona sunshine, a bunch of tech demos, it's well worth it.

>PSVR
Imagine tainting your first VR experience with snoy....yikes user

>1,400 $ pricetag.
>Can you play beatsaber on Vive pro?
Are you being serious?

yes

thanks

the entirety of /vg/'s vr thread basically

no you didn't. psvr IS shit.
>oculus owner

Then keep spending, 40k for a 2G force rotating platform.
youtube.com/watch?v=HJoi-1g0IzI
If you go for the realistic route there is no other way.
Racing teams are throwing their giant projector rooms to the trash and replacing them with VR and the platform alone like Mclaren and ferrari.

>anything from codemasters
Those are even worse than ferza and gran autismo, carmageddon from 1997 has better physics than those games, and carmageddon 2 from 99 has almost the same damage details.
Then again, this is not for a confy cinematic couch experience playing 3rd person over the shoulder cover shooter.
Thats what palmer and those other retards thought it was going to be.
Basically a bunch of simfags managed to fool everyone into thinking that VR is the future so they can get some better head mounted display like pic related.
>640x480 resolution and almost a half second of imput delay and using early cellphone gyroscopes for the tracking
And the result was a success, there is already one that almost kills the screen door, but cost 4k, so the thing is there but not cheap finally free from samsung diamond pentile shit panels, next gens will be about making it cheaper.

That price tag is a bit silly. I'd wait to see how the Index fares when it's out.

And yeah, if you have motion controllers, you can play Beat Saber.

youtube.com/watch?v=PJjdapg_NoE
>this is "worse than grand tourismo and forza"
its a proper rally sim with realistic physics. Doesn't even have a map, you gotta listen to the co driver.

ok

God damn, look at all that shovelware.

yeah hence future not present

>muh list of shovelware that wins every argument

objectively wrong

But you didnt say that in the OP. Why would I believe you?

You didn't even look at them. You just dismiss anything presented as 'muh magic word'.

Read it and weep, boy.

Nice try, but the owner of that site transcends your faggy identity politics, and was also shitting on feminists and journalists all the way back in the mid 00's.

Who are you, his fan club?

Who are you, someone without an argument?

If i sell my oculus, is there somethingi need to think about?

The buyer can't somehow see that you used your oculus for vr porn?

Attached: 1556225553287.png (650x723, 48K)

This is what makes a sim,
youtube.com/watch?v=5H2zGGUdfrA
And yes, codemasters dosent do sims of any kind, not even the F1 games, they use the same toca race driver engine with a few tweaks like todd is selling you morrowind mods as new games.
Actually richard burns rally, despite being that old is the one with the better tyre model and physics regarding rally cars.

Asides from that there is no actual rally sim aviable, because of the phsycis for dirt-snow is not easy to calculate.
As for track racing there is Rfactor 2, Iracing and assetto corsa, and their corporate versions that has more telemetry and more calculations because the teams have the power to use them, even project cars is a simcade when you look into the stuff.
Its like comparing ace combat with DCS in flying, one makes you feel like you are flying a plane like an ace and the other dosent have enough keys in the keyboard for all the actions aviable, so you have all the keys, then Ctrl + all the keys and Alt + all the keys, and you basically need to know how to fly the real thing to even turn it on, and then you have actual avionics to deal with.

Seriously, watch some actual rally videos and see how the car behaves, mostly in places like sweeden when you have jumps and turns right after, and see how the car reacts when they land, and try the same in any dirt game, and see the absurd difference because the physcis cant handle the stress, so it goes into full mario kart mode and you have more grip than a formula1 with slicks in tarmac, its total bullshit.

Of course not. Maybe if you gave them your oculus account too but that would probably only happen if the apps you use have porny names.

Giving your cooties to whoever buys it. And then your cooties breed with their cooties and create cootie children that you are now responsible for.

That is autism level sim. At that point your might as well just drive a car/ cheap plane.

>VR was ment for sitting expreriences

I disagree

youtu.be/PcCAlmYDpHE

man oh man, I'm so ready for the index

Well thats the deal, being able to drive any car in the most realistic scenario possible, cars that dont exist anymore, or are in museums or cost millions of dollars, be able to push them hard and even smash them into a wall without any issue, and do it up the point that you can then grab the actual car and do miracles with it.
In racing, F1 teams do 3 whole entire weekend sessions of practices in sims in contrast to the real one.
Same with planes, not everyone can just jump into a fighter jet just like that.

I disagree. Doom VFR was dope albeit too short. You need to find the sweet spot with the headset for max clarity. I love my PSVR. Only wish it had a 2nd camera. The tracking can go to shit sometimes.

>Uses VR with lowest resolution and worst controllers by a wide margin
>Complains about low resolution and piss poor controllers
You have nobody to blame but yourself.

Attached: METAL GEAR?.jpg (1706x960, 108K)

Still waiting on Bethesda to get the stick out of their ass and add snap turning to Doom VFR. Hoping Doom Eternal either gets full VR support, or another spin-off.

>waiting for bethesda instead of utilizing their modding/game fixing community

it's unnatural

>you will never look like prime Joaquin
Why even live

>He hasn't played Lone Echo.
>He hasn't doofed around in H3VR
>He hasn't played board games with friends on other sides of the county in TTS.
>All the fucking puzzle/mystery games.

Op just has shit taste. That's okay. Some people have shit taste. But patrician taste is bouncing between shit like Sekiro, SS13, City of Heroes, and VR stuff, and not trying to champion one or the other.

Anti-VR posters can do their thing. I'll be over here having fun enjoying every possible combination of vidya with my consoles, PC, and headset.

There's no mods for VFR to add snap turns. Best you can do is add smooth-turn and WASD to it but I can't handle smooth turn for long periods of time.

>>He hasn't played Lone Echo.
Walking Sim in space. At least you could have said Echo Combat
>>He hasn't doofed around in H3VR
Tech demo toy.
>>He hasn't played board games with friends on other sides of the county in TTS.
TTS' old VR implementation was god awful, and the current one still requires a ton of work to feel natural instead, which also having a lot of bugs specific to VR
>>All the fucking puzzle/mystery games.
Enlighten me on these? Actually wouldn't mind a decent VR puzzle game.

>muh everything is walking sims and tech demo when it suits me.

Sold my Oculus CV1 a few days ago, got a great price for it and that's the end of it. I'm only investing in VR if it's completely tether-less and is actually powerful enough to support truly great experiences. Right now there isn't a headset on the market that checks both of those boxes.

>TTS new controls
I have had literally no issues, and I have a lot of custom TTS board games I've scanned with assets I've added myself.
>Lone Echo
>Walking Sim
Inherently incorrect, because it's Zero G. But regardless, it's less walking sim and more "Dead Space without Necromorphs".
>H3VR
I'll give you that it's a bit of a tech demo, but it's also an extremely fun time killer with shit like Wurstworld, and the challenge maps. Some days when I have a rough/tiring day, I'll load it up just to do some challenges and unwind. That's the main draw to VR for me - Being able to relax in whatever way I want. I watched Terminator 2 in VR IMAX last night with 5.1 Headphones. It was great.
>Puzzle Games
I Expect You to Die
The Gallery Ep 1/Ep 2
A Chair in a Room
A Fisherman's Tale
Obduction (LITERALLY MADE BY THE FUCKING MYST GUYS. So good.)
Wilson's Heart
Abode (Short, but very pretty to look at, and enjoyable.)
Nevrosa

>I have had literally no issues
On my end I've had
-camera spazz out extra when scaling the environment (known issue by the dev),
-scaled cards being extra difficult to take from your hand since it scales your movement down from the actual 'hand'
-picking up shit in general to the point where we now have "manual" grabbing of shit and grabbing with the pointer
-can't pick up a set amount of cards
-a lot of the scripted buttons and shit don't operate with VR controllers
-drawing tools been broken forever
-VR users can still cheat and see undersides of played cards on the table

Attached: handy.jpg (534x600, 132K)

blown the fuck out

>Obduction (LITERALLY MADE BY THE FUCKING MYST GUYS. So good.)
Did they do much for the VR port in terms of environment interaction, or is it more just a thing to play with a controller in hand?

I loved Lone Echo but it did leave me wishing another game would take that basis and make an actual horror or combat game from it. The part of the tutorial where you have to find a drone in the dark with your headlight was eerie as fuck.

Even Combat few a bit short because it's uses the same boring Tron map and all your weapons are built into your hands. I'm hoping the sequel has us playing robots fighting in the real world and picking up heavier gear from the field.

Just have Ready at Dawn make Alien Isolation 2. VR exclusive.

NOOOO FUCK OFF I SPENT $2000 + TIP FOR THIS ITS FUCKING AMAZING

If you're using a proper PC VR setup, Carmack's Doom 3 VR is better than anything Bethesda are going to release.

>NOOOO YOU AREN'T REALLY HAVING FUN FUCK YOU

Attached: 1510883595552.jpg (808x805, 177K)

Only thing is I've beaten Doom 3 about four times at this point. Would have been great if it was a fresh title for me, like Alien Isolation is for me with the VR mod.

>$2000
My five year old laptop and a £180 Windows MR headset have been serving me just fine.

That's a shame, it's the best version yet. Doom VFR is a joke in comparison.
