3DS is backwards-compatible with everything except N64 and Gamecube at this point, and anything worth playing on N64 has a 3D port with a couple of Gamecube games that got ported like Luigi's Mansion. NES/SNES (if New 3DS)/all Game Boys/DS on top of its own library(either through flashcarts or through bootstrap if you're too lazy to buy a cheap R4)
If you're into gwaffix you're never going to be satisfied by any handheld

It's not terrible or anything, I just don't think it's as comfortable to hold for long periods of time as a GBC or a DS. That might just be me though. Still played over a thousand hours on that thing.

I bought a used 2ds xl some months ago, never bought any games apart from pokemon and ff3 for it, i will probably hack this one and emulate the entire rest if the library after im done playin my phusical games, will most likely either keep it emulation and buy another one brand new just so i have one in pristine cond so i can keep my library replayable for at least 4-5 years, then i will sell it with the pkmn games maybe and it should pay me back well.
Hopefully by 2025 there will be a new handheld that can emulate ds games cuz i love em. If not then gpd should have something

Yeah. I've recently played LBX. You use those little customizable robots to battle inside arenas. There's also Code Name: S.T.E.A.M, which is essentially the 3DS' Valkyria Chronicles.

Best 3DS experience is using Citra on a decent PC. The same devs are behind Citra and Yuzu so donate to them to get even better development faster . Hell it's even open source from day 1

OoT is a very good remake, it will feel different because I believe the remake runs at 60fps while the original was at 24, but overall is quite good, which also includes Master Quest so that's some extra value added.

MM is the one that's all up to preference, the remake changes a lot of things like boss fights and how the Bomber's Notebook works, but overall is still good, but it doesn't really have anything additional added.

I don't think it really did. A lot of the titles it had ended up being ports or mediocre versions of handheld multiplats. The few exclusives it had early on were pretty good, but not nearly enough to justify the purchase. What happened to the 3rd party rapport they'd built with the original DS? Where were the action games? Where were the fucking JRPGs? It's like the 2010s were the decade of the garbage, snoozefest dungeon crawler.

Neither the 3DS nor the Vita met my personal expectations set by their predecessors. Their libraries had too much anime weeb shit and not enough of the quirky interesting titles that made the PSP and DS so damn interesting.
And it didn't help that most of Nintendos first party titles felt weak.
