>DeS, DaS, and DaS3 have imposing bosses that set the tone of the game
>DaS2 has this fat fuck
There was something wrong with the lighting in DaS2.
>3mo HRT
It was clunky. The player character attacked slow, even with somewhat fast weapons. The worst part were the recovery frames from attacking, it took too fucking long. So even if you press the buttons to dodge after attacking, the game won't respond to it most of the time unless you use a very light dex weapon, like a dagger. The shittiest part about this is that everything other than the player character is fast and doesn't suffer from the same issues.
Oh shit, I thought you said fighting and not lighting.
DaS has a FAT FUCK YOU IMBECILE
Another low IQ dark souls 2 hater exposed
The game was designed for a completely different lighting system that was scrapped late into development due to consoles not being able to run it.
the thread is about ds2 though, not ds3
*breaks your heart*
Are you fucking dumb? The f and l look somewhat similar at a quick glance. Kill yourself DS2faggot.
Shalquoir > Herald >>>>>> Lucatiel
DS3 doesn't have that issue.
Dark Souls 2 is unironically best DaS game.
DaS1 and DaS3 shitters need to fuck off.
well no, because you can roll a million times without getting punished because of bad timing, but it has the same situation (bloodborne moveset on enemies vs das moveset on your character)
the sharks were the hardest enemies in the entire soulsborne series. i've killed literally every enemy since DeS at least five to ten times while I have yet to kill one of the sharks. not saying that i couldn't do it, just can't be bothered to start up the game again and die to a regular mob 25 times
>giving a shit about this bitch
Except that the movement in 3 isn't clunky and restrictive like it is in DS2, you fucking idiot. It isn't the same.
That infinite feather glitch was hilarious
It looks like a ps2 game in 720p, it's embarrassing.
>Dark Souls 2 is unironically best DaS game.
fact.
Based. DS3 zoomers just don't know good games
>due to consoles not being able to run it
It was actually because scamco forced from to rush it before they finished working on the lighting. Consoles definitely were able to run the game with the original lighting since the PS3 network test beta had it. Also, if it was about hardware constraints, SOTF would have the original lighting.
these reviews are stacked by people who have only played sekiro or have only played bloodborne, so it's invalid

About to play this again soon. I played at release, but never beat it. I heard the DLC is good. Should I install DLC before finishing the game or after?
>t. adaptlet
sekiro released like a week before this poll was up, so I'll give you that
but for BB, early game, optional, DLC, and chalice bosses are pretty solid my man
and I doubt people who play souls games miss out on BB
I still have not seen her storyline to completion because it requires babying a dumb NPC through multiple boss fights. who the fuck thought this was a good idea
DLC is overrated.
Also original DaS 2 is better than SOTFS.
Lol DaS is the Asylum Demon and that thing is lame as fuck
Only III really nailed the opening boss fight
Just play the Scholar edition. You can get it for like 10 bucks. The DLC is good, II “complete” is a fuckhuge game, if you like it you’ll sink a lot of time into it
Yeah I'll be playing the original on PS3, because it's what I have.
Any tips before going in? I know the game is needlessly obtuse with some mechanics, so I'd like to go in with some knowledge, while not going full metafag.
The DLC areas are the best DaS experience in the entire trilogy.
Install it before finishing the game, if you finish all areas you get a crown that turns you human the entire time while wearing it, so Its worth getting.
ADP should be upgraded in every build
Power stance completely destroys any challenge of the game
As somebody who has played all three and knows the answer is Sekiro, Dark Souls 3 should be much higher. Base game BB is easy as fuck outside of stupid chalice dungeon bosses who kill you in one hit.
GIMME DAT BUTT
All of the descriptions I've seen for ADP seem to imply that it has "unknown mystery effects" in addition to the obvious buffs and resistances. Can someone explain it?
The Last Giant and The Pursuer were both more imposing than Gundyr
>seething Miyazaki fanboys score
Cope.

>The final boss of 3 is a ripoff of a ripoff of an anime character

What is your favourite weapon?
Do some fun build. Dual Caestus build in DaS2 was probably the most fun I had in a Souls game.
>Has to use 2 bosses
>One of them being the laughable giant
Ass Demon is even recycled for two more boss fights
Why do you like game journalists so much?
1 > 3 > 2
ADP increases your AGL which increases your iframes when rolling. Personal, I think 96-98 AGL is the sweet number.
>Complaining about slowness in ds3
It's literally the fastest game in the series how shit are you?
Has their ever been a greater pleb filter than DS2's AGI stat?
DS2 as a whole
That's not even the best pleb filter in DS2
The sharks arent that hard you're just not good.
TWO sharks at once though...
while the idea of tying iframes and various actions like estus chugging to a stat is not inherently bad, a complete lack of visual/tactile representation of this is fucking inexcusable. you keep getting hit by things that look like you should have dodged them, which is intensely frustrating. make it so that you do a clumsy fatroll-type dodge at low ADP, and then when you hit certain thresholds like 90/100 AGI you get upgraded to regular and then speedy rolls.
as it is this is the cause of 95% of the shockwaves memeing and other assorted bullshit that just makes the game feel awful to play at low ADP. having the player get hit by phantom attacks, teleported into grabs, and having to adjust their roll timing based off some invisible bullshit is quite possibly the worst way they could have handled this.
This, BB requires only a modicum of skill if you're level stacked.
>fat fuck
LARD GARGLING
DaS II wasn't bad it just wasn't the best in the series mongoloid. I loved DaS II pvp.
Only intellect in the thread.
How come people always complain about ADP never being explained but "Liquid Humanity" mechanics and Insight (particularly Insight's relationship with Frenzy) never being explained is okay?
>2019
>still mad
Because their favorite epic e-celeb hates the former but loves the latter.
those don't mess with actual combat mechanics in a way that visibly frustrates the player. Low ADP means you get hit by shit that by all appearances shouldn't have hit you. If you even manage to notice you're proccing frenzy faster due to high insight, it's not a thing you feel you are getting cheated out of. High insight also has its uses, while low ADP has literally no advantage.
apologies for using vague words like "feel' but the gamefeel being good is absolutely critical to games like soulsbornes. it has to feel good to play, and frustrating or clunky gameplay will kill a game more so than any hidden stats.
As someone who enjoys playing DaS2 and has gotten the no-death ring, DaS2 is probably the easiest by far. All of the bosses have consistent, predictable movesets and are piss easy to dodge.
DaS3 and BB are much harder because those bosses take 70% of your healthbar regardless of what armor you're wearing and have autism attack combos.
The only way DaS2 is hard is if you have dogshit ADP and/or attempt to heal when the boss can attack you.
The sight of women excites it!
what's wrong with liquid humanity
I don't recall the ogre being a boss
>Also original DaS 2 is better than SOTFS.
in no way, shape or form is this true.
People complain for some fucking reason about "enemy placement", but it's literally only made better. Enemies are in areas more fitting to where they should be, and if you actually use your brain even a little teensy bit, it's not really hard.
while i'm not that guy and i agree with you for the vast majority, the Alonne knights in bowser's castle are absolute cancer in Scholar and that area went from being a mildly interesting one to a part i fucking dread doing every time.
DS2 and DS3 are equally garbage
> bringing in first level and even 2nd boss when it’s obviously about tutorial level
Also, crystal lizard is a better enemy than hippo
Unlike Gundyr, you don't even have to fight it, you know.
Dark Souls 2 is the hardest, but not because of the enemies, it's because the game is a slow, clunky, unresponsive piece of shit with terrible hitboxes.
Persuer is just a reasonable boss.
The Last Giant and the Giant Lord are pure shit
DS1 is the worst turd by far
Dark Souls - 7/10
Dark Souls 2 - 3/10
Dark Souls 3 - 5/10
Hahahaha mad cuz bad
It doesn't really. The only difference is if you do that, she gives you her armor as well.

>twice as many enemies in a game that already had complaints about too many enemies
>it's better though because this enemy is named heide knight so he should be in heide

DS1 fanboy brain rot. The same retards that claim using the drake sword will make you unable to play the game later while everyone who's not a retard knows it saves you materials.
lmao, 2shark
they should've been a boss encounter imo
>a castle isnt allowed to have plenty of guards
Nigga you can get SO MUCH HEALING in das2
Also its to stop idjits from going all the way there before trying the other 3 paths.
I wish we got the unfucked version of the game with proper areas and pacing. Fuck graffixfags
I really want to play through DS2 but it's such a fucking slog and I hate the hollowing mechanic. It's really lacking in the artistic direction of the other games and that's the main reason I like the games. Are there mods that make it any less shit and is it possible to mod a pirated version?
>make best DS2 game
>have to strip complex magic system and lighting for console crybabies and their underpowered toasters
>still the best DS2 game
>in fact the only one which ever won GOTY
>despite spending your nights under tons of fresh pussy still show up to accept your trophy
>souls pvp
>DS2 game
DS2fags are fucking stupid ESL shitters? Who would have guessed.
its kind of cute in an ugly way like a pug
NPCs in that game have boatloads of health and defense. They can tank hits that would one-shot the player 10 times over. If you can't kill the boss before the NPC dies, you're the problem.
like clockwork
Fuck you and fuck Dark Souls 2
That's practically end game. Plebs have long since been filtered.
Why?
I enjoy playing das2 when I want a longer game with some meat to it.
I wish the other from games werent over in 20-30 hours on a fresh run.
I honestly really like a lot of the areas as well.
Best "dark" and "poison" areas so far
Yeah but he’s the first enemy you come across.
Retard cope.
Throw Sekiro on there and you make the point that every new IP by From are good games rather than its sequels.
If you mean the one before the witches hut, I never knew it was there before I watched Pat/Woolie's LP of the game.
Even then, technically the first enemies you come across are the non-agressive dog things.

Even with bad hitbox, i don’t think the game was hardest and I play with 20 ADP or so with washing pole (consider how shitty slashing weapon in the game is)
What make the game easy is that bosses have very simple and limited and don’t have a lot of option to cover player circling around them. The hard part is the boss has very high damage, particularly ones with power up that add bonus damage to their attack but rarely add new moves to their attack unlike ds3. Multi bosses are alsohard because they just chuck them in an empty room at you unlike other multiple boss fight in ds1 and ds3 where they have mix match size, moveset, speed, aggression, and also have cover for players to get around. To fight ds2 multi boss, I just run away and dodge until the boss sync their attack for a opening for me to hit something without getting punished. It get kinda tedious and unfun imo.
Other than bosses, the game throw too much high poise enemy at you and destroy the pacing as you take so long to repeatedly kill the same enemy one by one, especially paths to boss fights. The game also expect you to do tedious shit like sniping enemies one by one to get by a level instead of allow you to realistically engage them.
based
oh yeah yeah
>The f and l look somewhat similar at a quick glance
based retard
DaS3 should be even lower.
I've never played a Souls game that feels so terrible and like its pushing a single build for the first several hours. Like if you aren't running Health and Stamina with a fire straight sword or something for the first half of the game, you're gimping yourself.
You could say those might be easier than other builds in the other games, but you could still get effective and fun builds off the ground from the beginning. In DaS3, beginning weapon variety, spells, everything is just horribly limited and gimped compared to all the other games in the franchise.
>but you could still get effective and fun builds off the ground from the beginning
3 doesnt let you explore until after a shit load of walking forward (dancer skip doesnt count)
1 and 2 have ways to get all over the map right out the tutorial.
Fuck 3
i think that's mainly due to how linear the game is
in ds2, you can just go the route first that gives you good stuff for your build early on at least
DaS3 is the best game in the series easily. 2 is just kusoge and 1 you invalidate the entire game the moment you pick up a zweihander.
How would you feel if Dark souls 4 had a linear storyline like Sekiro?
Stay mad, retard.
Fine. There's nothing wrong with linearity.
you're a genuine nigger who can't even tell letters apart lmao
>meanwhile on the different path...
>reading comprehension = 0
Cope.
>i think that's mainly due to how linear the game is
Dont say that the cucks who cant into game design will come out claiming its not linear at all
Its either that or orange fog
Fog would have been better
I don’t see it at all. There were so many good option from early to end game for me for ds3. Straight sword does attract me initially due to the really cool and useful weapon artes but I didn’t see much loss transitioning to other weapons that I like. I feel that ds1 and ds2 is a lot more unbalanced for pve in comparison. Ds1 heavily favored big weapon with good range and high AR with any great weapon and halberd making pve really easy. DS2 fuck over slashing weapon like crazy for no reason
that's true though, fuck from sequels, I honestly hope they don't make a BB2 or sekiro 2 and stick to new IPs with similar designs and gameplays if that's what they want.
>in some timeline, Tanimura directs BB2
How would you feel?
your reading comprehension is pretty low yeah, can't even tell and "l" from an "f"
>"I like Demon Souls"
>"Okay"
>"I like Dark Souls"
>"Okay"
>"I like Bloodborne"
>"Okay"
>"I like Dark Souls 3"
>"Okay"
>"I like Dark Souls 2"
>"NO NO NO NO NO REEEEEE"
Why are zoomers like this
>rolls off cliff
kek
>balance
And its trash
Theres a reason BB is so fun compared to 3
they're butthurt they need to actually time their rolls
if he takes full control from the start, let him, he's a better director than miyazaki, assuming he's given his due, and not rushing a disaster of a cash grab
I'd be open to anything as long as it's good and fits in the established universe.
The new areas being aesthetically different from everything else we've seen so far would be a plus. We've had a few fire levels and ice levels and such so if they bring back those settings they should have something particular to make them stand out.
Helps them "fit in" because they dont anywhere else
You do know that sekiro is less linear than das3 right?
Why are people so damn stupid.
But BB is balanced as well.
It’s broken so it’s fun is a stupid meme anyway and usually don’t look at the context of the game design
Also, raising stat for hp and endurance (and adp for ds2) while just having enough other stat for stat requirement for the weapon of choice is the basic early game of every soulborne game.
Zoomer here
What do you want gramps
It is the basic early game, but I don't think its as pushed as it is in DaS3. In most, its considered the easy option, but if you want to start dumping stats into your attack stat with whatever weapon, itd still be effective.
Me and my friend were co-oping DaS3 recently. I went all endurance and vigor out of the gate, he went all dexterity. We finished up the Cathedral of the Deep and are in Farron Woods.
Before he decided to Respec, I was doing more damage than him with a +3 fire longsword, could swing twice as much as him, and had literally 3x his health as his glasscannon Uchi+3 dex build of the same level.
Obviously a +3 weapon has low scaling , but I don't feel like the damage difference has ever been THAT bad before. Especially since you can start out with a fire weapon right away.
It’s always has been that much, you just never experiment with in the other games. Elemental weapons are always strong as fuck early game
In ds1, lightning weapon way way out damage everything in early game and mid game even after the nerf to all elemental damage.
>that guy who hates original Dark Souls 2 but thinks DLC and SOTFS "redeemed" it
This is just a proof that Dark Souls 2 haters are just idiots who only hate it because their self-proclaimed "video game analyst" eceleb made a 1 hour video shitting on it with most of his "criticism" boils down to either wanting the game to just be a carbon copy rehash of its predecessor and/or autistic nitpicking. DLC and SOTFS doubled down on every complain those fags had about the original such as gank squads and messy level design, yet they are somehow better than the original. And the funny thing is that every Souls game has countless bad mechanics or aspects yet they get a pass because MUH A-Team®.
>bad level design
I would argue that Dark Soul 1 having a literally unfinished/rushed second half is way worse than Dark Souls 2 "bad level design".
>gank squads and bad enemy placement
Every game in the series has them.
>rehashed bosses
Dark Souls 1 and 2 did it even worse.
>bad hitboxes
Every game in the series has them. The only difference is that you need to level up a stat in Dark Souls 2 to as many iframes as the other games. This is arguably good for build variaty and online mode.
>level transition doesn't make any sense
They prioritized gameplay and diverse environment over realism. No one cares but autists.
>waaaahh too many bonfires and you can warp to every on from the beginning
Most people don't want to waste their times running for 5 minutes (while avoiding enemies) just to get to a boss. Only a literal autist would enjoy this.
The only viable complain these fags can make is that Dark Souls 2 has objectively worse animations than the other games in the series.
I liked both versions and have the DaS2 steelbook case.
I prefer scholar because it made the DLC keys not poof into you
in DAS1 you don't get a lightning weapon until Anor Londo.
Early game cheese would be drakesword which can still be at least matched or beaten in damage by whatever build's go to weapon and stat at +4 or +5.
Sens fort is the earliest I remember actually
No.
It's funny how you're ignoring how I instantly noticed the error and went back to amend it and even stated that I sped read through it and at a quick glance a lower case f and l look somewhat similar. You are an actual moron.
But dark soul 2 SOTFS and dark soul 2 fan are almost the same pool of people. Most people who hate dark soul 2 wouldn’t even play SOTFS to begin with. Only lost izalith is really bad and the rest of the “bad half of ds1” is around the same quality of level design in ds2. Ds2 has too many big enemy group that you have to pull one by one and take down one by one while ds1 and ds3 mix more big/small enemy in gank. In the occassion that they have big enemies together, it’s not in the path to the boss unlike ds2 where you have to repeatedly get by. Ds2 gameplay is the worst among all soul game
>Sorcery playthrough is harder than just using regular weapons playthrough
Am I doing something wrong here? These spells take forever to cast, do shit damage because everything resists the magic damage, and eat up endurance.
>tying iframes to a stat is good
DS2fag delusion at its finest.
this just goes to show you that game journalists cannot be trusted. the reason why DS2 is so high is that it was released at the peak of dark souls hype.
>Also, if it was about hardware constraints, SOTF would have the original lighting.
You say that like Bamco actually gave a shit about Scholar and didn't just pay for some interns to give it the once-over.
>literally the only "arguments" DaS2 niggers have is b-but what about the other games!!!
If everything was worse or the same in the other games people would logically like DaS2 more, but they don't. There is no A-team/B-team conspiracy at work, people just thought the game was fucking bad.
>first enemy in the game
>has the worst hitboxes
Bravo B-team
Except they don't look similar, you dumb actual nigger. You're just retarded like the rest of your kind.
>Except they don't look similar
Are you fucking stupid?
Yea and the lightning cross spear is in sen. Drake sword also has an element i think which makes its damage really high. I don’t remember since I never use it.
I’m not sure when you can get the fire sword in ds3, but there was a hidden firesword in ds2 in that one pit that makes early game really easy too I believe
keep your distance, but mostly cast during recovery after you baited an attack
if you want an actually fun caster build, go full hexer with the sunset staff and stack up on dark orbs - they're fairly fast to cast, do decent damage and can carry you through the whole game
lmao you really are a pavement ape aren't you? They don't look alike besides being upright, you smelly chimp, you're embarrassing yourself, retard.
Yeah, the end of Sen's for the basic spear, strong, but still basically the half way point of the game.
Drake Sword isn't elemental, it just doesn't have scaling. Its 200AR flat, which gets beat by +5 weapons with stats
Tanimura is more mechanically minded, but I don't think he has the vision. He's well suited for sequels, but I don't think he could've made Bloodborne from the ground up.
I think Tanimura is good at making up unique gimmicks and shit but doesn’t have good fundamental grasp of game making like miyazaki. Miyazaki is better at making game challenging but fun and fair
>people just thought the game was fucking bad.
nah its just more difficult than the other souls games
I liked the 20 second stagger animations.
So not only are you purely delusional but you even ended up agreeing with me while still screeching like a fucking retarded monkey. How low is your IQ, and how shitty is your ability to read properly?
>How low is your IQ, and how shitty is your ability to read properly?
Higher and better than yours, Mr. 13%, you dumb nigger that can't tell an l from an f.
>merely pretending

The only one here that's acting like a dumb shitskin is probably the illiterate fuck chimping out over speed reading. You even seemed to miss that part where I noticed the mistake and immediately amended it
>n-noo!
>but niggers!
>13% muh crime rate!
You're probably a buttblasted american since you seem dot be so obsessed with niggers that you bring them up for no reason. Enjoy the societal collapse, cuck.

Nope
>Pursuer
Sure. Iudex Gundyr is a fucking bitch who dies in 30 seconds, not really a great boss.
>Miyazaki is better at making game challenging but fun and fair
Reminder that he's the guy who made the Chalice Dungeons
you know you have a shit series on yourr hands when every thread is a "well my favorite isn't as shit as your favorite" contest
Souls is a beloved series on Yea Forums though
it can't be shit
Cope and willfully ignorant.
2shark is contender for the most difficult encounter in the series
underrated
Better it be willfully ignorant than genetically retard like you, nigger.
Name a game that is a 9/10 for you then
>Dark Souls - 7/10
It's a 9/10 at least.
>>that guy who hates original Dark Souls 2 but thinks DLC and SOTFS "redeemed" it
Thank you. DLC is just DaS2 on steroids, absolute dogshit, especially Old Iron. And the only enemy placements Scholar did fix are the witches by the poison jars and the clusterfuck of knights at Velstadt's fogwall, the rest of the changes feel like babby's first romhack of a game that already felt like an outsourced sequel by shovelware western studio. The rest of your post is inane fanboy rambling, but that goes without saying.
Dark Souls is no more than a 7/10 without fanboy glasses on.
Dark Souls is a solid 8.5, and even then only because Izalith, Bed of Chaos, Nito, Seath and Archives are ass.
You forgot the New Londo Ruins and Tomb of the Giants. Dark Souls is grossly overrated. Solid 7/10. The first half isn't even good enough to make up for the shitty second half.
No, I did not. New Londo is one of the highlights of DaS and TOTG is good. Next you're gonna say Blighttown is bad level design.
New Londo is a terribly slapped together shitheap that wasn't even built around the player character's model properly and it also has a shit enemy gimmick. You clearly just like eating shit so there's no real reason to read past the first sentence you made.
Oh yeah, Scholar did add more upgrade materials in the early game, but other than not looking like faulty emulation of a PS2 game as much as vanilla, that's all it has going for it.
Ok, just name one game that is a 9/10 then
Vagrant Story.
>inb4 hurr no it's shit lmao dark souls wins again baby
>ENEMY VARIETY BAD
>LEVEL DESIGN BAD
You Yea Forumsermin are all braindead.
I always wished shalquior had more dialogue or something important than fucking rings
Well you know Vagrant Story isn't really for everyone. It can be a 10/10 for some people but the others may not like it. Dark Souls on the other hand does everything right and it's accessible for everyone. Dark Souls is the Ocarina of Time of modern games
what's wrong with Nito and the Archives? I'll admit Seath is pretty underwhelming as a fight
Enemy variety isn't the issue here, it's that it's just shit in New Londo.
>wojak edit
Like clockwork.
Am I supposed to give a shit?
No, just trying to discuss stuff with you
BB, DeS, and DaS1 are the only good FROM games. Haven't yet played Sekiro.
You literally cannot prove me wrong.
Nito is a passive dork with a DaS2 tier moveset that can't hit you for shit, presumably to give you room to clear the respawning skeletons, except these skeletons don't add anything to the fight and become increasingly annoying as you scale in NG+. Archives is a chore to play with terrible pacing even when you sequence break the first Seath encounter and little to no level design.
>Dark Souls on the other hand does everything right and it's accessible for everyone.
that's bullshit, people can easily lock themselves out of progression if they keep dying and losing their souls over and over without leveling. not everyone grasps RPG elements that easily.
also O&S can definitely be a ragequit point for normies
I'd agree, but BB does nothing for me.
Your hardest soul game will always be your first one.
Sekiro plays a lot differently compared to the others.
nope, it's Evergrace, Eternal Ring, DS3 and Sekiro.
all souls games are just downgrades from DS3. it only is what it is because it gets everything good from its predecessors. none of the previous douls, not even Demon's, got shit on Midir and old man Guts.
>Chef D'oeuvre tier:
Bloodborne
Dark Souls
>Masterpiece tier:
Demon's Souls
>Great tier:
Sekiro
>Good tier:
Dark Souls 3
>Meh tier:
Dark Souls 2
>Shit tier:
Nioh
The Surge
>Shovelware tier:
Lords of the Fallen
Ashen
Immortal Unchained
Nioh shits all over DS2
specially since DS2's praise comes mostly from its sheer size of content. Nioh got that in spades
>Dark Souls
The only way you would put Dark Souls that high is with nostalgia goggles
I actually liked that though, stamina is way too plentiful in the other games. Most of the times I died in 2 it isn't because of bad hitboxes, it's because I was in a bad position and didn't use my stamina properly. 3 fucked it up by going to the complete opposite end of the spectrum, I still have no idea how the hell to fight Dancer or Pontiff but I beat them by literally just mashing O when they started big wombo combos.
good taste
those eyes are fucking terrifying
You simply cannot rank Lords of the Fallen that low compared to Dark Souls 2 unless you admit you never played them. They are equally stiff and shallow in terms of gameplay.
Lords is way worse, taking the shitty dialog wheel and super cliched bosses into account.
really the only souls were you could do something like martial arts
1 is the worst in every aspect except level desing, if you say otherwise you are a nostalgic boomerfag
Agreed
>DS1
Journos have no idea what it is. Some get pissed at the esoteric storytelling and difficulty. They rate it low without trying figuring nobody will care.
>DS2 and 3
Series is popular, people are hyped. Journos now obligated to give at least an 8/10 to avoid stirring shit with their reader base.
