Virtuos is the porting studio, right? They've done some great things.

cringe, but based

Why is the ps4 port so big tho?is it just a bad port?

>First time it's portable

They fucked up with their first few ports like with the first two Arkham games to PS4/xbone but they have been getting better over time.

Uncompressed audio maybe? The dark souls switch port has low quality audio because of how compressed it is.

I guess it was just something they didn’t concern themselves with. They got it working easily and that was that. Switch probably had a little more enthusiasm behind it because the hardware was so different.

The Steam version is apparently 50gbs. The Switch is a real outlier.

Is it worth grabbing this version and starting over? I was only playing a friend's copy of it before, and I'm at the part just after the viera village. These new switch features seem very enticing as well.

No stop playing shitty final fantasy games

I thought it might something like this but I looked up a few videos of the Switch version and the voice acting in cutscenes didn't sound any different from what I remember and the FMVs didn't look heavily compressed or anything either. FFXII didn't exactly have the highest quality with it's voice recordings though so they could probably get away with somewhat lowered audio quality without anyone really noticing.

It's 29GB installed. The store page often lists higher storage requirements due to how downloads and the initial install work on steam.

Thanks for beta testing ps2 snoy boys

>sliding feet

Sounds good, but it's still 50 euros.

Yeah it's pretty amazing how good the port is and for the switch of all things. Studio did some legit magic. Got it preordered. Respecing jobs is a godsend. I never really played the ps4 version much because of my autism with permanent jobs so this is great change for me.

Also first prints of the physical version will have a reversible cover if anyone didn't know.

Ps4 version is 4k 60fps uncompressed audio, switch is 720p 30fps with compressed audio.

If you think 10 is not shit then you are shit

>Ps4 version is 4k 60fps uncompressed audio, switch is 720p 30fps with compressed audio.
LOL no it's fucking not. The PS4 Pro version is 1440p at 30FPS. The PC and Xbone X version are the only one's that can run at 60FPS.

I bought this for PS but haven't started it yet, is there still that absolutely RETARDED "don't open these chests if you want the Zodiac Spear" bs????

I remember when I played the orig when I was young and there's that one chest outside of Old Dalan's house that is very obviously placed to cuck you out of getting it if you didn't know about that

>is there still that absolutely RETARDED "don't open these chests if you want the Zodiac Spear" bs????
No they removed that. The chest in the Henne Mines is also much more reasonable. It only spawns 1% of the time when you enter the area but it always contain the spear.
