They are a great release. If you are on the fence about watching them, do it.
So at some point in the next posts someone is gonna be "yeah great games" then someone will be like "kojima is a hack" and then the guy that always shows up in MGS threads will post his autistic collage image saying "see everything that made MGS great was writted by this other guy, not kojima", and then it'll have like 50 reaction image replies and Yea Forums will parrot "kojima is a hack" over and over again until the thread 404.
There, i spared you a thread.
>Perfect duology.
It would only be more perfect if the MGS2 didn't end on a narrative cliffhanger and Snake teasing a sequel where he takes out the Patriots
Learn to live with ambiguity, user. The point of the game was the issues raised, not wrapping up plot threads. It is 'thematically' complete.
MGS2 was meant to close up the series completely.
Raiden was in a simulation all along and it doesn't matter what Snake was going to do next (in fact it's debatable if he even met Snake, in the original plan for the timeline).
>It is 'thematically' complete.
which means shit when the story is incomplete
retard
What is the proof that it was a simulation all along?
The entire final part of the game.
Thinking about anything that happens trough it for more than 5 seconds will make you realize how bullshit it all is.
Not to mention Snake openly acknowledging the "infinite ammo" bandana in a cutscene, as part of the canon sequence of events.
Not even as an easter egg, but straight up to Raiden's face.
That wasn't a coincidence, it's there for a reason.
It's completely fake.
However all of this doesn't matter because it got retconned later on, the original plan was scapped due to Konami pushing for more games.
how playable is MGS3 on emulator?
Thanks, man.
Is this from a showcase?
Do you have a YT link to the original vid for this?
How they gave us near perfection with MGS then the four or so piles of sheer bullshit that followed is beyond me. Snake Eater is the only one thats near the level of the first.
based mgs3 brainlet
always on time
except MGS4 debunks your theory
the only simulation in MGS2 was Solid Snake Simulation
It's from a No tranq playthrough

>except MGS4
Perhaps if you could actually connect your eyes to your brain you'd read the rest of the post:
>However all of this doesn't matter because it got retconned later on, the original plan was scapped due to Konami pushing for more games.
Thanks mang, good shit.
Pseudo intellectual weeb retard
A game made 5 years later is relevant how?
seething westcuck
the mgs2 game plan, translated. like a design brief. talks about the meaning behind many things, some cut content like sharks in the underwater section, rose was gonna be blonde, game was gonna be called MGSIII. the ending is ambiguous to provoke thought and discussion of the themes that snake talks to raiden about (koji talking to the player). the player is supposed to feel confused about what's real and what's simulation
Acquiring female players (only a sub-target)
Characters
With Raiden (someone appealing to women), instead of Snake, as the main character, we will have a character in which women can more easily empathize. He is the antithesis of the older, hard-boiled image of Snake.
Story
Having an iconic female character (Fortune), like in the previous game, as well as an ordinary woman involved with the main character, will add both a realistic and romantic element to the game.
‘The 21st century will be the age of women, when women will protect men’
Why is MGS's voice acting so good?
2 was a bit of a drop-off, and 3 is even worse. It's like they told Boss's voice actor "ok, just say everything in the exact same melodramatic cadence."
Thanks for confirming that you're a braindead weeb.
>‘The 21st century will be the age of women, when women will protect men’
Well, he certainly got that part right given the recent rise of incel manchildren who don't know the difference between a wife and their own mother.
1 sounds more natural because the other actors were in the room reading their lines so they knew how to respond better.
>incel boogeyman
>reddit spacing
I've recently been doing a full series playthrough with a friend of mine who never played MGS before, and we just finished 2. Having not played them back to back in quite a long time, I'd forgotten how great they are. MGS1 on its own is a great game, but time and experience really shows what a fantastic sequel MGS2 is. The themes about the Patriots' S3 censorship plan, with misinformation/the spread of too much digital data are pretty crazy for 2002 standards and seem to only get more and more relevant each year. The breakdown of the Colonel AI is probably the creepiest thing in the entire MGS series, and Campbell's VA puts out a home-run voice performance ("Our beloved monsters--enjoy yourselves.") and I still can't believe the sheer risk Kojima took by pulling the rug out from under everyone with Raiden/playing with the whole idea of the nature of sequels, especially when MGS2 was one of the most anticipated sequels ever.
MGS3 is my favorite game in the series because of the sheer mechanics, but MGS1/2 make a package that's really unforgettable.
Thanks for confirming that you're a seething westcuck.
This is some good ass shit thanks
Some of these are kind of a stretch, but the ones that work are great.
Kojima might be a crappy writer, but he knows how to hit those reference/callback moments.
