Is there a single boss in this game that doesn't have an easy mode? I feel like every single boss has an easily abuseable AI problem. Game is hard if you don't know them, but if you look it up, you're basically cheating.
90% of the difficulty is based on scaling of posture damage. An easy mode would basically only need to give the player 14 Attack Power at the start of NG and most people would be able to finish the game. There's actually no excuse for it. Especially considering that the game game has no multiplayer balancing concerns.
If you're posting a guardian ape cheese video at least go with a proper stunlock one
didn't know you can stun bosses with that mortal blade art even without using emblems, apparently it's supposed to do less damage without emblems but looks like it doesn't affect stagger damage at all
Attack power effectively caps at around 15-20 (or least the returns are so diminishing after that that it gets difficult to tell the difference). I get the feeling that starting at a high attack level wouldn't really matter since most mobs take one or two hits anyway, and a high attack won't save your ass in a boss fight if you can't actually utilize game's basic mechanics, namely deflection. At best your solution sounds to me like a player would have an easy time in the early game, allowing them to rely on bad habits, and then get fucked in lategame where pure offense without actual skill isn't enough to keep you alive anyway.
I don't think it's the damage values that cause the stagger, it's more likely a property of the Mortal Draw itself.
