It was the drug.
It was the drug all along.
It was the drug
Just played through this today, what a great game. Can't wait for the free DLC and hopefully a sequel.
>Nobody on Yea Forums talking about a spiritual successor to Hotline Miami
What the hell happened to this place?
it's too short, not enough to discuss
Game just came out, new people should be playing it. I have questions about the story, and In the words of Zero, I want answers, Yea Forums.
Who could the big bad that Snow and V worked for? Cromag intelligence?
How distorted is our perception of how old Zero is? I know the Dossier on him says he's 22, but there's a few things that makes me think some fuckery is going on. In one of the first missions, there's a quote about someone spending "28 years in the Jungle" talking about not minding being a soldier, except for the child killings. It then cuts to Zero walking, and I can only think that he was the one who said that stuff. What does he mean by 28 years? And then you have the Scientist Leon. That guy looks like he's in his late 30s at best, 7 years later his body is so decayed that he needs to be placed in Cryo Storage? Unless this is some unknown sideeffect of his Chronos research, something doesn't add up.
Is the little girl real or just a manifestation of Yea Forums's conscience? And in some way, could Snow be an older messed up version of her? It would explain her motives for wanting to kill Nulls, because she doesn't seem like a terrible person and I can't really see why she works with complete psychopaths like V. Speaking of V, what was up with him speaking to you with his arms cutoff after he's supposedly dead? Ominous stuff.
Hallucinations
I heard about this game in an HM2 thread a couple days ago and will give you one bump
So where's the other 3 quarters of this shitty game? I've played like 1 hour of gameplay tops and the rest was a messy clusterfuck of story exposition that lead to absolutely nothing. the game ends on a to be continued with 500 hundred loose ends.
>Cool character
>only get to play with him for like a whole mission
>and its just an alternate version of a previous mission
Fuck's sake
Getting really tired of the teal/magenta/purple color palette. Indies were supposed to innovate yeah they all adhere to this trend.
Really hope the DLC adds a Fifthteen playable option
Should I buy it for switch? The gameplay is cool but the graphics are a little too retro
Chronos makes you not age, I thought it was obvious.
Maybe Snow is the kid from the "dreams"? That could be why she's doing what she's doing.
I also have to wonder why Zero ran when The Dragon/fifteen showed up on the bridge. I thought he'd try to question him instead.
so what's with all the color-coded text?
i noticed that blue text is about Chronos while purple text is always about NULL
I want to like it more than I do but it's so short, shallow, and easy. For a game that leans into instant resets/rewinds on death the only time I needed more than two tries was the boss fights; and I actually enjoyed them a lot even if they were strict trial-and-error, the one against the other uniformed Null was especially good for how it tied the aesthetics/lore into the fight so nicely.
Flavor text is mostly to convey the emotions of the character. Red is anger/discontent, cronos has it's own glow, along null and Zero. I think there were some other colors like yellow or brown that helped to get some ideas, like to emphatize the use of stealth in some levels.
>Zero's age
The vets in the bar call him out as a liar for being too baby-faced to have served so (if the final memories are the correct ones) he's unaging.
Yes, you're very good at video games.
Congratulations.
Do you want your dick to be sucked some more, you lying attention whore?
Imagine being triggered by something so innocuous. I hope you aren't also one of the people who's posted questioning why no one's discussing the game.
Thanks for the (you) upvote :^)
i just noticed
the dude that V injected chronos with is probably still suffering even though he's supposed to be dead, since he's dying one fraction of second at a time
what the fuck
I'm under the impression the girl is real and Tragedy and Comedy just have some super fucked up powers.
>The cops can see them and react when they show up, but if you choose to die they instantly forget they exist
I think both guys got injected which also makes me wonder if they could be the masked guys seeing as they show up AFTER that happens.
>it's ok for games to be unfinished scames when they are new
>you MUST play because it's MY brand and you must SUPPORT those hard working talented diverse people OR ELSE
yikes.
Is there multiple endings?
>tfw fucking with V even though he's killing you over and over again but you just keep coming back with more info to fuck with him
happy to see a thread about this, I'm having fun and the story seems good so far, I'm at day 5 or 6
There are false endings but the last one is the same for everyone, just wait for the free DLC goy
What is the last ending?
The one where You kill the psychiatrist, the little girl is "kidnapped" by the two masked scientists and Zero escapes from his apartment when the cops come
Okay, just wanted to make sure I got it. Thanks, brother.
Talk about a game that ended right as it was getting good. Pike poo.
The game is really fucking good, the story and writing are fantastic and I'm really looking forward to the upcoming DLC. Did anyone notice in the tweet he said it was the first free DLC? That pretty much confirms at least 2 free DLCs.
eh it was good the whole way, the story definitely hit a climax but i get the feeling theres gonna be a lot more. too many plotlines going on (snow, the little girl, chronos, government lab). i know theres dlc coming but i don't see how dlc could resolve it all. i think there's going to be a sequel.
who here got all the swords?
