Writing, atmosphere, music, setting the roleplay choices(in the first half), the voice acting most of all.

I like the game because of the setting and the atmosphere. Voice acting is real good too and helps draw me into the world. If you didn't play much I understand it's not a game for everyone, it's mostly for losers like me that like World of Darkness and mid 2000's gothpunk stuff.

Cool. I really like the idea of a RPG in a small world, and the setting is pretty interesting, I just really couldn't enjoy the combat.

Adding onto this: there is nothing that VTMB did that Call of Cthulu: Dark Corners of the Earth didn't do 20x better in every single way. It was a thoroughly mediocre game and in general suffered from a lack of direction in terms of gameplay.

Antes are insanely overrated. The COMBINED might of kindred, excluding Caine, can't match the combined might of humanity. Kindred can only survive as parasites lurking the shadows. If vampires were to ever field an army, their kind would go extinict. Humans would set aside all differences for a common enemy, and self sacrifice is something we're fully capable of doing. Vampires would scramble for survival and turn tail at the slightest threat of final death, it wouldn't take them a day to start in fight that's assuming they even come together in the first place. All of this of course is not counting the obvious super natural entities that would side humanity against vampires, and believe me, not only are they many, a lot of them make kindred look like chumps (mages). Even all of those factors, they're still the big capital G factor. God can absolutely at any moment get sick of vampire's shit and turn the off the plug, as seen in that one end game scenario where he got sick of waiting for Caine to apologize, but had his faith restored in humanity.

Antes CAN manipulate their way into the top, and live as humanity's masters from the shadows. They can't go full ooga booga hulk smash and declare open war, not under any scenario do they win that.

Antes are overrated .Most of them are not truly unstoppable gods. Most of them have vulnerabilities and limits. Multiple antediluvians are dead.

That said most of them are like gods, and some more so than others. They're just not unstoppable gods. They can be beaten if you literally nuke them repeatedly.

Antes biggest weakness is that they're monstrous and human in the worst ways. They're monstrous in the sense they can never get along with anyone, neither their sire, nor children (aside from their direct pawns the 4th and 5th gen), and they're human in the sense that they often have silly vendettas and dreams they're too fixated on achieving at all cost. This puts them at odds with literally every other entity on the planet that doesn't directly serve them. It's an unwinnable situation. Even Cain and Lilith with powers that make Antes look like toddlers, can't achieve their goals.

Probably quite a lot of overkill, but better safe than sorry. Ravnos could easily have had fortitude 10 with unheard of levels of enhancements so the most damaging attacks are safest, plus it should deal with any durable cover it has. Also with the illusions of chimerstry 10 it's best to make sure you're nuking the whole area. A large area of effect is also necessary when the battleground is covered up with magical energy and storms as this one was.

Luckily (or unluckily) antediluvians upon waking seem to be overwhelmed by incredible power of their curse and the beast mostly seems to take over. This makes them dangerously violent yes, but seems to make them a lot stupider and less cunning than normal. Antediluvians with powers and abilities that are better used with cleverness and care will be misused with hamfisted force.

Regular mages and Archmages with 6 dots in a sphere get fucked by Caine. Archmages with 8-10 dots in a sphere btfo Caine with their universe affecting powers

All sorcery is Blood Sorcery, Akhu, Thaumaturgy, etc.

Vampires have both generation and blood potency (blood potency makes you more vampiric and is the functional power stat, generation is fluff and caps your maximum blood potency).

Weaknesses are more intricate but only appear when hunger grows, same for frenzy and whatnot.

Vitae is no longer a thing, instead you roll blood potency and if you fail you gain hunger points.

Politics wise, the Anarchs dominate the world now, almost all elders except for those that gorge themselves on neonate blood are ash, having gone to the middle-east heading the call of Zilleah the 2nd generation, to be slaughtered by the Sabbat, whom abandoned everywhere else.

The Camarilla made an alliance with the Ashirra (dark ages muslim vampire sect, having been a thing for ages) by marrying a Toreador to an Assamite. They are also more elitist despite for the first time ever not being an elder heavy pyramid scheme where advancement is impossible.

As for plot fluff

Turns out its possible to escape Gehenna entirely by becoming caitiff, which is possible with a ritual.
