there's no reason why they can't do it for campaign. doesn't make a difference if you're playing through coop on a kb+m or controller there's no advantage for anyone it's just PvE.

They're struggling just to port it to PC as it is, m8. Maybe a year down the line once everything is released, but for now they just need to concentrate on finishing the damn games.

crossplay is as simple as toggling a setting tho. this game is going to be using xbl servers. see games like fortnite or rocket league. adding crossplay has no effect on the quality of the PC port.
